But the pure form of Hip Hop can be educational and poetic and it was/is an outlet for me growing up and in my adult years.

@DNFmcX I feel you, but as a Hip Hop artist and lover of the "art". It isn't Hip Hop that turned America's youth into delinquents. There's a difference between Hip Hop and Gangster Rap. A lot of ppl in the hood draw more towards the "gangsta rap" because that's what they feel like they can relate to while living in the environments they're living in. But the pure form of Hip Hop can be educational and poetic and it was/is an outlet for me growing up and in my adult years.

Back when RUN DMC turned a whole generation on to main stream rap I started seeing the effect it had on my generation. At first is was good, but that slowly changed. It wasn`t just Gangsta rap, it was the attitude as a whole associated with the music.

They have created their own category that I like to call "Pop Hop" on top of ppl thinking that you have to be a gangsta in order to rap. We should not look at the race card like others mention. We should see them as two artists talking about africa. From the 3 minutes that I watched, It seems that they are talking about the fear that is instilled in african-americans and the hostile environment in africa. They show concern in this video for africas troubles. However, it is true that they do have money to contribute to those efforts. If anyone did care for africa, then they will spend their time volunteering and donating.
