this guy really had one of the better advanced tutorials I have seen. Once I learned flares I started to put out tutorial videos because they are tough!
calcuttarasta -- its people like you that drive me crazy...if you actually followed rap you'd know that there is tons of extremely talented rappers out there. Saying that too many DJ's ruins the art is like saying too many kids playing football makes for worse football players -- the opposite is true.
i want to get a turntable bundle and get unto scratchng with hip hop music. do you have a instrumental on one side and a scratching sample on the other?
Hey here's a novel idea: try creating new techniques and patterns, as opposed to regurgitating the same bullshit tricks that everybody does... And for the record: why are you encouraging people to learn how to dj when there are too many as is? THAT'S how art gets flooded/exploited/destroyed. I mean look what happened to rap. It's a shitty, no talent monster nowadays, and it's because the bar is set so low that everybody thinks they should have a music career.Too many artists, not enough fans.
Can anyone help me (im not a dj-ey sorta person) but i need to get a clip (a few seconds thats it) where e.g some music is playing and then it gets fizzled and slurred out, whats that sort of thing called? ( technique? Flare, Tear, orbits??) Hope someone can help, will sub them (:
He's talking about 2 clicks every forward and backward stroke, and when he does it it sounds like a sort of hamster transform scratch. Usually a flare only has one click (off and on) for each forward and back stroke.
naw i mean black art as in a technique that is much better developed by one on their own rather than being taught. but true that basics = building base.
This video is trash.. You speak like your talking to a 1st grader.. Also, You can do a flare on any part of the Sample.. NOT just the beginning. Your flare needs work!! its not tight... good luck
