@defiythelie One reason they did it was to test the Locotrol system of remote control for the locos spread throughout the train. Only one driver controls the whole train.
@tartopfan Back in the early days, the various iron ore mining companies had a lot of trouble sourcing locomotives. Today, there's a "museum" of sorts near one of the main workshops of all the older locomotives. Some of their model were used as shunters to the south of the state
Waiting at the crossing is a fucken nightmare..trust me..

That is kind of pointless, I mean what benefit is there to take 4 normal sized trains and connect them into one big train ?

yea but wut kind of locos were they like were they ac6000cw's or the newer gevos
1998ChevroletS10 2 months ago
@1998ChevroletS10 Those gevos don't have 6000 hp theses are AC6000cw's.
bradstrains 2 months ago
@bradstrains oh ok i was going to say only ac6000s can haul a train like tht
1998ChevroletS10 2 months ago
@1998ChevroletS10 yeah or maybe an EMD SD90mac. Not sd90mac/43s though. I don't think 8 gevos could even move a train like this.

@bradstrains cool im learning alot lol

@1998ChevroletS10 well I did the math & I saw that 12 C40-9Ws could do the job as well
