@SteamboatWilley i have a movie from when i swas little called thomas and friends anmd the magic railway. And in the movie percy is a girl. Percy to me sounds like a boys name
LOL i had to look this up after my 2 year old was watching thomas the train on netflix. i was like "HOLY F*** IS THAT GEARGE CARLIN?!?!" lol it makes this show better to watch
In all honesty, I had never even heard of George Carlin up until his death. Only then did I start to watch his stand-up performances, and they were the funniest thing ever. I began to feel disappointed in the fact that he died and that I had never even heard of the legend before his parting...
But now that I know he narrated the Thomas the Tank Engine series, I feel a profound loss Q_Q
i just put a thomas and friends episode on via on demand for my nephew i couldnt help but think that sounds like george carlin, i searched it on youtube and sure it enough it was, awesome. the man did it all
I loved Thomas The Tank Engine as a child, and I loved George as a teen. I Theorize that I love him so much more than any other comedian (aside from his humor and brilliant logic) because he narrated my childhood ;_; I miss everything about being a child.
I believe this was broadcast on PBS, I was a bit too old for this but I remember catching this a few times while zapping the box in the early 90`s....
I just cant believe is Carlin, of course I did not knew who Carlin was back then, my, my, my, my!
Just another reason to respect the man, amazing... what an artist.
@calihills75 hey for christmas im gettin the dvd versions of Thomas Gets Bumped and Other Stories, Ten Years of Thomas, Thomas Comes To Breakfast and Other Thomas Adventures. yea im glad alot of the old ones are being re-released on dvd i just cant wait to relive those old episodes again
When George Carlin died, not only was it very sad, but it felt like my whole childhood died along with him. Him telling the Thomas stories always made me happy, and made me develop into the happy person I am now.
XD oh my god I flipped when my mom told me he was actually a narrator on this lol I remember loving it when I was 2 and then when i was 12 i found his standup. like xXshadowknightXx said. Mind = Blown.
Holy crap!? I loved this as a kid. I had no idea it was George Carlin. George Carlin later became my hero, I had no idea I thought he was awesome even before I saw his stand up.
All these years, I had no idea that the voice that lulled me into industrial nirvana and inspired my love for mechanics when I was a wee lad, was the voice that I came to rediscover in George Carlin. I'm 19 now and remember distinctly playing with my Thomas the Tank Engine Brio train set as I watched the show, entranced.
Carlin -- he unwittingly entered my life in my infancy and it was only less than two years ago I even knew the comedic genius existed.
talk about a flashback...im nearly 20...i havnt seen thomas since i was 4 or 5 lol....i used to love this show...maybe thats why i grew up to love george

I love Thomas the Tank Engine...I'm already turning 21 and I still enjoy these classic episodes. Not those newer episodes.
It's kind of like how Spongebob episodes are becoming...That, and those new episodes are now more educational.

He wasn't just the narrator he actually played the conductor. A little tiny man about 4 inches tall.
I want to find an interview of his where his explains why he did this show.
I saw it when I was a kid and realizing his comedy
later, is kind of my transformation to adulthood.
