your grasping the stickers with your palmers let your fingers do the work, use your wrists not your arms, trust me mate you will be a 10x better drummer and shit like that leads to arthritus which can stop the best drummers in there tracks

ummm .... hard to explain but I learned by playing with only socks (slippery on the HIGH-HAT pedal) start lower on the pedal and then tap and push up at the same time and the spring action will bring the pedal up for a second hit!
