This song reminds me of my ex-boyfriend. He was perfect for me, he was persistent and consistent, I was having the time of my life. When he broke up with me, I found this song and it was exactly what I was feeling and the story of us. And look at me now, I'm still wondering... what ever happened?

this song sends me right back to my pre-teens.. yesterday, my partner mentioned this song, askin me to listen to it.. it makes me want to cry.. i feel the song and its heartbreaking..

This is my favorite Phyllis song she turned it out on every studio record she did but always sounded like she was purposely "Under Singing It" if that makes sense because in person and live she always sounded better then she did in the studio and in the studio she was always perfect what a true gift I wonder how long it took her to record this 4 minues and 30 seconds with only 1 take?! RIP Phyllis we you're fans will never stop loving you there was only one Phyllis Hyman she will always live on!

My favorite song by Phyllis and to think I thought I would never see her sing it live in this lifetime I had put the desire in the trash can because hearing Phyllis live on youtube is rare so thank you so much for posting this!
