That's what he meant, yes, but just the way he said it made it sound like he and Ovechkin had slept together in a sexual way. That's why the guys kind of laughed when he said it and why Ovechkin purposefully avoided translating using the term "sleep together."

Also, there isn't really a word for roommate, you just say you share a room with someone.

I'm Russian and I can say that they're really nice guys! They're just having fun during the interview as they usta jeering at reps in Russia all the way.They never take seriously all that stuff! They got a good sense of humour(esp.Ovie and Kozlov) although Russian language is too hard for foreigners to get that.Anyway, they're not the lamebrains everybody here used to think.And besides they love their Mother Russia, they're ready to fight to the last for it, they ain't no arrogants at all...

Sasha is higher than a kite. I love the look on Ovie's face when Sasha talks about them being together. He's obviously thinking "Oh man, I can't say that." and Sasha is very proud of himself for putting Ovie in an akward position. This is priceless.
