  • Only reason for silencers is because alot of indoor ranges require them, how can you silence something as quiet as a door mouse that you can hear a mile away?

  • It sounds louder with the silencer....

  • where do i find the loudener?

  • @edmund94232

Compensator, that'll get some eardrums shaking

  • to kill you need to do it silently lol

  • @romka4567 English, you must speak.

  • @LeJewable What didn't you understand in that sentence? I said to kill you need to do it silently. Is that so hard to comprehend? Its ok I already knew some people on the internet aren't to bright.

  • hahahaha, so much for James bond offing the guys with guns as quite as a door mouse.

  • how much is a silencer?

  • @LordShadowx3 For 9mm, I have seen them as low as $550 and for a reasonably good one, $900.00. Remember to add the $200 tax stamp fee to the price, not to mention the paperwork and six months wait. And all this works, if they are legal in the state you reside.

  • god damn. I swear silencers don't make your gun shoot pew pew. It makes BANG BANG minus 3 to 10 decibels due to the silencer. And handguns make like 600 or more decibels.

Go shoot a gun with a real silencer without wussy ear muffs and talk to the gun shop owner once in a while.

  • @PyroSeraphim 600+ ? lol way less

  • ohhh man such a badass. so serious. you just aren't having any fun, are you?

  • Comment removed

  • the first round was kinda lound..why?

  • @OfficialBizkit it needs gas inside to help it suppress? maybe..

  • @PyroSeraphim No gas, however you may notice on most mono-core silencers, the first shot is a little louder than subsequent shots. This is due to some oxygen being in the tube the first time you fire. After that, very little oxygen remains and the rest of the rounds are a bit quieter.

  • same theory with an air gun, if you use a soda bottle taped to the end of an air gun, it gives the air room to expand and silences it. the problem with the soda bottle concept is the first shot is quiet because it's sealed, every shot makes the end hole bigger and more noise escapes. rifles are quieter then pistol because as the bullet (or bb) travels up the barrel it's giving more and more room behind it for the pressure to drop. It's really all about physics.

  • people have the idea that a silencer silences it completely, it doesnt. The silencer works by allowing the very hot, high pressure gasses to expand. by expanding you allow the pressure to drop and thus the noise goes down. however, it works best with subsonic ammo otherwise you will have that sonic crack. MOST silencers reduce the noise but dont silence it. the more room you give the gasses to expand the quieter it will be. so the most effective silencer would be big and bulky.

  • what the fuck you dont need headphones while shooting a silenced pistol

  • @cussingbatman

because suppressors dont silence them at all you fucking retard, its still loud.

  • @Merfywat then why use them you fucking retard you have obviously never used a real suppresor

  • @cussingbatman

You are such a dumbass. You would shit yourself if you knew what firearms I have fired in my life. Go back to the hole you crawled out of fuckface. Just to let you know, movies lied to you faggot. The point of a suppressor is to remove the boom and make it more of a crack . Youre still going to hear a loud fucking noise with a suppressor, it just doesnt travel as far or is as loud. Trust me shitface, I know.

  • @Merfywat yeah ok fucking idiot i have shot silenced guns and there not loud at all your obviously a fat whore bitching on the computer thinking you know everything

  • where do i buy one..??

  • 0:55 wtf

  • I wanna suppress a RPG

  • @jericoferrari55 lol who doesn't

  • at 0:15 you can see a man with a gun ;)

  • This is nothing like the video games

  • First shot is loud then gets quieter as you fire more rounds? Interesting.

  • its still way to loud.

  • @spaceghost30082 - what did you think it was going to sound like. Silencers are nothing like movies make them out to be.

  • @neoc03 thats exactly what i thought it would sound like. just like the movies. my bad.

  • @spaceghost30082 it shoulds sound like the movies more or less he isnt using sub-sonic ammunition which would not allow the "sonic-boom" which is the bang you hear as the bullet moves beyond the muzzle. But the thing they don't show you in the movies is that the subsonic ammunition may not cycle the weapon. Unless you hand load and make it just right than you have like a loud twig snapping sound.

  • @CptSmokeAlot i quess thats good ole movie magic for ya? (:>)

  • @spaceghost30082 you know that it isnt like cow when its sounds like a bit pew pew in real life.....

  • @Felixfors so true.

  • @spaceghost30082haha was supose to say " cod " not cow :P

  • arent supressed guns ilegal?

    not judging anybody

  • @divinidadoscura Depends on what state you live in. Here in TN you can buy one after a fee and backround check. Also fully automatic weapons are the same way.

  • @divinidadoscura As far as I know if the silencer is registered to that gun and used only on that gun and you have a special permit, it's completely legal.

  • this is interesting, if such is the case then why do special forces even bother using them the enemy could still hear the shot on a quiet night. BTW, i'm not a COD freak, i used to work in the armory on coronado amphib base and i saw some of their pistols with silencers equipped.

  • NO silencers arnt as quiet as folks think.

  • so silencers aren't silent? like in movies?

  • @bootiack Well the correct term is suppressor, not silencer.

  • Glock 17 with supressor, hospital footies, latex gloves, untraceable.....

  • @philly442 Don't forget the hairnet.

  • Comment removed

  • see the 0:56

  • @Cafeite lol

  • In practice, muzzle suppressors are usually boosted to be MORE quiet by a Sound damn, or tactical muffles, for actual guard suppression. sounds levels are about balloon bust level.

  • I was just watching this Weaponology episode on Navy Seals...

Then they bragged about how bad ass they are simply b/c they equipped silenced weapons.

I remember the difference not being that drastic. The retired SEAL said that you'll hear 2 thuds. 1 from the shot, the other from the bullet hitting the enemy's head.

Thanks for this. Now I know that using a suppressed weapon isn't exactly "ninja" friendly.

  • it's called a supressor

silencer indicates it's a living thing so u dont silence the shot u supress it

ps: anybody else saw the assault rifle before credits rolled?

  • @XxTHECAKEISALIExX94

    Yes... I saw it.

Dont worry, you are not seeing things... I think...

  • @markccful haha thanks

  • Are you using sub-sonic ammo? I can still hear the sonic boom of the bullet.

  • ya my brother and his friend think they know every thing about guns because they play cod . it pisses me off considering i study guns all day and know much more then they do and they think they can prove me wrong and testify against me.

  • The point of a "silencer" or a suppressor is not to remove the sound of the gunshot, but only to mislead. I.e disorientate them so they dont know what or where the shot came from! Movies and COD are fake. You can't run about making psst noises with a freaking weapon!

  • yes yes yes yes do want

  • james bond is a lie!

  • Is the first shot always the loudest when silenced?

  • It sounds a little bit less like a gunshot

  • your not even using subsonic ammo :/

  • why didn't it work on the first shot? that's super weird..was it wet or dry?

  • @BeanDip0913 thats what she said

  • @zKaoticKangaroo michele scott much? but good one lol

  • @BeanDip0913 the first round is usually a little louder due to the oxygen inside the suppressor burning on the first shot

  • @BeanDip0913 Its the trapped air, which is the basic principle of how a suppressor works. Also, he isn't using subsonic ammunition, which wouldn't give the sonic boom that you hear in the video.

  • @BeanDip0913 cold air in the suppressor. Firing wet will usually fix that, especially with white titanium grease

  • @BeanDip0913 Go look up "first round pop" for your answer,

  • @BeanDip0913 it could be from his camera, some cameras will dull down loud noises, the first shot was loudest because the camera had to adjust to the loudness.

  • what is it with americans and their guns ?? i have fired a few guns back when i was 15 and enjoyed a day out with them but it wouldnt be interesting enough to warrant buying a gun and ejoying it as a hobby..too bloody boring.

  • @hotstixx It's just fun XD It is weird that we Americans and Russians seem to be the only ones who enjoy using guns lol Its in our blood

  • @BeeisforBailey thanks for your civil reply.i must make a small confession,i always wanted a 44 ruger blackhawk with the shorter barrel(if i have the name right).i know nothing about guns but that has always had an appeal.

  • @hotstixx what are your hobbies?

  • @kornphr34k oh scarin the neighbours, bein slapped by women, philosophy and diggin holes.

  • @hotstixx because you dont need a "warrant" or even a permit we have freedom

  • @XxPAINTBALLCRAZYxX1

    no we dont...

  • MUTE HOW DO I BUY ONE FOR MY ARMS PISTOLÇA 380 AM BRAZILIAN POLICE RESPONSE SEND

  • Yo, I need something that can suppress the noise on THE FIRST SHOT. Don't ask me why.

  • I mean Antarctica in your language XD

  • These guns might be illegal in Finland soon :( That dipshit erkki tuomioja (shit politician) wants that it's illegal to have ANY kind of firearm. It's stupid to ALWAYS tighten the gunlaw after some massmurder, like in this case the one in Norway. I'm going to move some fucking antarktis if he gets that trough.

  • make sure to use subsonic ammo

  • 2- Unsupressed

5- Suppressed not realy a diff

  • @SuperHow1 what are you? a COD fan? i think theres a huge difference

  • @loganbass10 No i don't play COD ^^ i don't even play games Haha

  • @SuperHow1 UH yes there is you just cant tell

  • Is there a difference between a Suppressor and a Silencer or are they the same thing with different names?

  • @KamikazeRacer1 There is no such thing as a "Silencer". No gun will ever be completely silent, it just isn't possible. The correct term is a suppressor.

  • @ImpBrother o really? challenge accepted

  • i bet a bottle of hardplastic c oca cola would od the same ?

i saw that in a movie....does that really work?

  • @xXCREEKSTARXx Bottle of coke, fill the bottle with steel wool or insulation or something, and duct tape/etc it one very well. Yea it actually works but only for the first shot MAYBE the second.

  • @cevune

Never expected that to work even with one shot :D

    thx for the reply :D

  • @xXCREEKSTARXx not as well

  • a suppressor simply hides the flash because most people will fire back at a flash therefore a suppressor does silence the gun to a point but its purpose is to hide the flash eliminating the possibility of being spotted by an insurgent from flash. A silencer on the other hand can actually bring a round which would be supersonic and make it subsonic and actually silence the gun to a point where all you would here if you were next to it would be the hammer sliding back and forth

  • @TheMistercoolpants I'm sorry but that's bull! The noise is the gas escaping. SHOW me this !

  • @TheMistercoolpants im pretty sure thats what a flash hider is for

  • @TheMistercoolpants i suspect you just made 90% percent of that comment up. seriously, you're incorrect.

  • With the suppressor, is the weapon still as deafening as without?

  • Damn that first round pop is loud!!

  • Thanks.. now I roughly know what it sounds like..

  • his talking like a robot lol

  • Get your head out of video games and understand that cod isn't 100% factual about the sounds each gun makes. This is how it should sound.

  • prety nice piece, are these normal rounds or are they sub sonic?

  • Can anyone explain to me why the silencer seems to make the bullets sound quieter after every shot? The first shot seems louder than the next one and so on :\?

  • @XTZGoReX well the first shot the silencer is "cold" i dont know the exact details but i know as the silencer gets warmer is make it quieter for some reason, srry i couldnt be more help /:

  • @TehFlyingGerman that actually makes sense to me, thanks for replying!

  • You shoot like a bitch.

  • if your wondering, what a suppressor or silencer (same thing!) does is coold and slow the air exiting the barrel quieting the gun's report and making the muzzle flash pretty invisible, but that does that take away from the round being fired (what ever it is .22-.50BMG) from breaking the sound barrier, which is what you hear as that little "CRACK" noise, to get rid of that you much get rid of the high velocity of the weapon to make it completely silent.

  • I hate kids that think they know everything because they played a game.

  • Comment removed

  • cool O__O

  • Ewww Beretta

  • Is that considered subsonic?

  • lmao wtf :21

  • You're mistaken. To clarify, if you're using standard 9mm, in most guns the round leaves the muzzle at faster-than-sound speeds, so it already has broken the sound barrier at 25 feet. Bullets don't pick up speed the farther they are from the muzzle. Sub-sonics don't break the sound barrier but you still have an impact sound. One thing about sub-sonics: in some pistols the lower powder charge may cause a stovepipe or failure to feed unless you install weaker recoil springs. depends on the gun.

  • there made for up close encounters so it does not have time to break the sound barrier (the sound you were hearing with the silencer on) it would be much quieter if yuo shot a target 25-30 feet away

  • @codyjohnstone Time to break the sound barrier? A bullet is going as fast as it's going to ever get right at the muzzle. Bullets start slowing down the instant it is no longer being pushed by the propellant in the barrel.

  • @theoldstigster - That's not quite accurate. The projectile reaches maximum velocity after leaving the muzzle. The projectile is actually held back by the friction of the barrel. Once the projectile breaches the muzzle, it gains velocity for about 50-100 yards. After that, the projectile starts to lose velocity and at about 250 yards it starts to lose velocity at a greater rate.

  • @BigIrishman16 How can the bullet possibly accelerate for 50-100 yards after it leaves the barrel?

  • @afreiden 50-100 yards is the 5.56 round (not the 9MM, I spoke too soon). As the projectile is propelled through the barrel, it picks up speed and begins to twist with the rifling of a barrel. Although the rifling is designed to help reduce friction and to get the projectile spinning in order to make it fly straighter, there is still a degree of friction there. Once the bullet leaves the barrel, there is still built up gas propelling (that's the "BOOM") it but there is no more friction.

  • @BigIrishman16 A bullet may accelerate for a short distance after leaving the barrel, as the gas behind it is higher pressure than the gas in front of it. But this 50-100 yards figure seems absurd and unless you can support this with some research or other data I would be sceptical of it.

  • @EvilLordJon With a 9MM, you are correct. I was using the 5.56 NATO (M-16, AR-15 round) as a base. The 5.56 round does accelerate and climb for 50-100 yards after leaving the muzzle. Good call.

  • @BigIrishman16 The bullet only accelerates for about 5-10 yards after leaving the muzzle. After that the velocity begins to slow. Hence the reason muzzle velocity is higher than the velocity at 50 yards.

  • Great, if only women came with them

  • @nightfury52 Haha, 'cause they talk a lot.

  • In Sovjet Russia, gun silence you!

  • It looks like the silencer reduces recoil

  • that silencerr is horrible

    it a YHM thats why

  • First shot didnt silence. You are compromised and you will now die.

  • Haha people, this is for real. Real guns with silencers still make a LOT of noise. There is a significant reduction in noise and recoil, but it's NOT a soft whisper. What you hear in the movies and games are fake.

  • You'd be a lot better off suppressing .45's, they're already subsonic.

  • The sound is only realistic in the Bourne movies...

  • If he had used reduced speed rounds, say about 1000 f.p.s., the sound would have been significantly less. The speed of sound comes in at about 1120 at sea level.

  • @s3mm0n3n wrong

  • Comment removed

  • would that wake someone up?

  • @TheJEARBEAR13 Yup. Silencers are pretty much useless unless you want to shoot at night and your closest neighbor is more than half a mile away. Otherwise it's not going to make much difference.

  • @RichieEastside unless he uses subsonic rounds...but then again where is the fun in that lmao

  • Please thumb this up so that the people with no sense of humour can understand the other top comments...

    "They're joking"

  • awesome!

  • *pshew

  • All u fucking cod players saying this is fake because in cod its quieter you guys are fucking dumb ass fuck stupid reatards you know that cod isnt realistic at all you cant compare cod guns to real life guns fucking dumbasses stupid nerds get off your lazy video game addictive asses and go out sometime and fire a real gun for once stupid fucks

  • @chicanoskater13 lol tell us how you feel man - don't hold back!

  • For get the same effect as in a movie you gotta use 22LR:P

  • should use subsonic ammo for better relsults but like others have said..its just not like the movies. if people knew the facts about half the stuff gun related, the liberals wouldnt have it so easy when they use scare tactics to take our rights away.

but oh teh noess the silencer!!! their will be drive by silenced assasinations :O

end of rant... i gotta go play with my Glock 7 ceramic pistol....took me a whole months pay to buy XD

  • 0:55

  • It's still a noticeable difference. It went from BANG!!! BANG!!! BANG!!!!

    To bang....thwip...thwip...thwp..etc

    Pretty cool actually.

  • wtf why r people saying this isnt real black ops and mw2 isnt REAL FOOTAGE IT"S FUCKING GAMES!!!!!!!!!!

  • @2020plasma They're trolling -_-

  • @20YrBillionaire HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. I hope for everybody's sake you are joking? HAHAHAHA

  • @20YrBillionaire you better be kidding lol, and if you are, i like your style

  • @20YrBillionaire your a fucking idiot hahaha

  • @daniel171095 you're* And can't you detect sarcasm? Who's the idiot now?

  • @BallpenEater i dont hink i can ever detect sarcasm. its fucking TEXT, there is no sign to tell me otherwise.

  • @daniel171095 Then you're the stupid one.

  • @BallpenEater hey, im tired of seeing those cod fanboys as much as you guys are. when i see the top comment is apparently from one of them, i instantly wanna punch them hahah

  • @daniel171095 Okay, I understand. HAHAHA.

  • @daniel171095 no u r hes being sarcastic

  • @20YrBillionaire

Yes its a game.. reality is different.

  • @20YrBillionaire dude its a game, they will make u believe anything, this is reality

  • @AngelTheMadGamer he was joking....duh

  • @AngelTheMadGamer lol he was joking dude chill
