i have a dwarf hamster very healthy its almost lived for 2 years and its still living but yeah he cant live forever too bad :( soo i think i will get a gerbil as my next type of hamster soo how are they are they agressive?(i doubt taht only a bit at beginning) and how big they grow tall?

@MrSwifty2 hmmmh i have my gerbils since 2009 is 2011 now and theyre still alive and happy together boys in one cage girls in another cage they have die because of their age nothing else

@MrSwifty2 So long as they don't fight I don't see how keeping them in the same cage would be a problem. With the number of gerbils, in the wild gerbils live in large community groups, and as long as you've got a large enough cage for them to not be cramped in it too tightly, it is fine. They're very social animals. My gerbils used to share a cage with a baby guinea pig while my friend was looking for a home for the cute thing. They played with it like it was one of them.

eh dude dont think its a good idea to have all those gerbs in one cage, have 2 maximum...honmestly they will start fighting, i had 3 and it just didnt work out, you would need to have a really large tank. id split them up into two pairs if you havent done so already
