It has nothing to do with hallucinations or tripping. You can as well mute that thing and watch it with no sound. The "tripping" effect that happens after the video is something very normal.

i think human eyes automatically try to focus on light ,the white part, and the dark spot leaves like a space from your eye to your brain and when u look away the signal from ur eye to your brain is still sendin the blank space which makes ur vision wave. which is y it will only work if u focus on the image kinda hard. its like ur eyes move faster than ur brain or the time it takes for signal to come from the eye to brain is slower than the changin light in the image.
