  • Y'a quand même quelque chose S. Wonder non, tu ne trouves pas Roger ?

    Ca sonne grave ... :D

    Cristianu

  • @Castagniccia Grazie fratelu, grazie !!!

  • Hey Rodge, great playing! Thanks for sharing the experience!

    Best, d

  • @u2006 Thanks Mr "Spoke" !!! ;-)

  • Straight badness !! Frank McComb is the Donny Hathaway of our age. That ending jam was fire... gotta love gospel chops drummin' !

  • @SlikkTim Thanks SlikkTim, thanks.

PS : my drummin' has nothing to see with Gospel Chops's one though, but I enjoy very much those crazy cats, they are ass kicking no jokes !!! :-)

  • @Rodgebi Just thought around 4:10 it sounded a lil bit like those cats, but yet again it's just a way of sayin that was some badass stuff. And besides I never heard of no "gospel" players using trad grip haha ! Keep on keepin' man

  • @SlikkTim Don't worry man, I would love to have their skills like their crazy singles, but yeah, trad grip for me is the real deal, I'm not a girl... ;-) (kidding of course, just quoting the great Dave Weckl here...)

  • @Rodgebi or Jojo Mayer: "trad grip... makes you look like you know what your doin'." Gospel dudes got insane single chops... and right foots too !! It's like the drummin' on ohio players stuff but 3 times faster.

I use trad grip too in my miserable drum playin', cause that was the way all the oldschool was playin, and I first wanted to play early 70s breakbeats and 60s greasy hardbop stuff. Trad grip's the only way to get the snap on the snare to me, just like jabo on papa don't take no mess!

  • A-W-E-S-O-M-E !

  • @NotYourTypicalNegro THANKS !!!

  • This is great! Thanks for posting.

  • @ReThord You're welcome ReThord, thanks for your message.
