  • Exquisite performance!

  • Really wonderful.

  • One moment, he's so serene, 5:09 the other, so angry 5:14... Great performance!

  • Exquisite phrasing and showmanship! His sound reminds me of Oistrakh's- warm, clean, and with just the right amount of depth. One would have to be deaf to dislike this.

  • @MadAuralSkills or jealous, considering he was 20 when he preformed this

  • @demianxss "The poison of the honey bee is the artist's jealousy." - 'Auguries of Innocence' by William Blake.

  • BRAVO!!!

  • this is just incredible. it will definitely beat chang if it was a tad faster and notes weren't lengthed on a somewhat random basis (at least for me). then they would be technically equal but chang's musicality will still be very unique for me.

  • @commentsviewing I don't think it was on a *totally* random basis; the inflections of the phrases that he created through these extended emphases made the piece much more human in voice and message. Such emotion!

    Isn't Beilman just great?

  • Ben, what a great guy! So lucky to have accompanied him.

  • Very good but he still can't beat Sarah Chang or Ida Haendel

  • @JPLGaGa123 i feel like beilman's sibelius beats sarah changs actually, it's so much less showy and such an honest and perfect interpretation

  • @JPLGaGa123 Well based on YouTube performances Beilman beats Chang... But I have heard Sarah live.. she played Ravel's Tzigane flawlessly just 2 minutes after getting to her dressing room in the hall! Her Sibelius live is very sincere and technically great... her YouTube Vid of Sibelius doesn't really do her justice. I haven't heard Beilman live....

  • I love this! every note is so clean and intone. :)

  • And to think he will only get even better over the years to come!

  • I was lucky enough to be in the SFA orchestra and accompany Benjamin! He was absolutely phenomenal.

  • why do i have the urge to cry after watching this :')

  • Wonderful interpretation. Absolutely sublime performance!

  • Very good. But Nikita Borisoglebsky deserved the victory.

  • bravo

  • really solid performance and beautiful tone, but where's the dynamics? D:

  • @azndaemon95 Ben in my opinion played pheonimal. IDK about u but I definitely heard dynamics. I agree there could always be more, but when soloing you can only do so much. This interpretation is fantastic. As a side note, the accompanint was great as well

  • OMG!!!!!!!! im lik spachless!!!!! i bet Miguel could do that <333

  • old school mann

  • really wonderful new violinist

  • Very good. Excellent sound and musicianship. Bravo!

  • I really enjoy his playing...A very good sound and very good performance...

  • very good!
