I don't think the stage side has changed, but the "floatiness" of characters is increased. This change in turn probably forced wider spaces around the levels to account for flying further. Perhaps I'm wrong, but it certainly seems like there is considerably more space before the KO "wall" on both the sides as well as straight up for star KOs. All this added space being somewhat used by floaty characters would make the actual levels seem smaller.
well... luigi has changed a bit. I like how his down b can now travel a whole lot farther when recovering, but it just doesnt have the same combo starting capabilities it used to.
DAMNIT!! i wanted luigi to win!! Thats bull he should of came back on his 2nd stock.. that ledge is like retarded to his come back. Anyways both Luigi Dair and Fair attack use to kill people at 100.. Jeeze its kinda crazy how much longer people live in this one.
I am not sure, but I think if you jump right before you use your tornado to recover, it works a lot better.

i think since they made recovery so easy they should have made the ceiling lower for all the stages
ChuChu44 4 years ago
the ceiling is already the easiest way to kill, let's not buff it

The stages in Brawl look so small compared to the ones in Melee.

No, its the character models. You can tell that the stage is the same but all the characters are bigger.

Stadium 2 has really fast moving sidewalks that make it really hard to stay on the stage.
0:49-0:50... wow, I didn't know Marth could reach that ledge with utilt o.o;

looks like they fixed those glitchy sides when the stage is transformed
jdmrawk 4 years ago
they remade the whole stage and it just LOOKS like the old one. you can also see that when its in its neutral position, the platforms are higher
