  • Does anyone know the name of that song played on the trumpet from 6:00 up to the end of the video? it was played at my high school graduation..

  • @MultiJohnson2 it is called the trumpet voluntary

  • Would love a caption below each one as a guide to where these were taken. I can guess and recognise a few but it's a guessing game on others

  • @Jndfreaks hi if you look on my profile then click my website all the photographs are on there plus more they is all named

  • i love looking at old pictures of hull :D and what people are saying about the chavs and stuff, well to be honest, there are probably more non-chavs than their are chavs. As a teenager myself, i've got to say that not all of us 'kids' are the same. admittedly, some parts of hull are shitholes and bad stuff goes on, but doesn't the same happen in most other cities too?

anyway, thanks for uploading the photos :)

  • @XxIc3Bb3Xx glad you like the photographs i have a old hull website have a look

    thanks nick

  • It's a shame King Billy can't be called upon to (once again) rid Hull's town & country men of undesirables. He stamped all over the Taigs & their Rosaries!!

I'm East Hull 'til I die. The whiter side of the City.

    ~~ Vrouwtjes wint altijd ~~

  • @splitrs thanks for the comment yes its a shame about king billy have wrote about him on my website

  • I am Polish. I have been living in Hull for 4.5 years now. I like this town and I do not think I am "taking over" or anything like that.

  • @MITANA1976

But you are because like all the other races your taking areas and making your own shops.

  • @TriopsUKnorth "Taking areas"? Is that in your opinion renting place for a shop?

  • @MITANA1976

shops, streets, areas your way or no way like everyone does.

  • Thanks for the video!

  • I live down Clumber Street and I love it. Fair enough Hull's got its problems and its fair share of ethnic minorities but it certainly hasn't been taken over by them. I'm originally from East London and have lived in Hull for 20 years now, and I tell you what I much prefer living here. Blimey, I'm a shandy drinking southerner but I seem to have more pride in Hull then the Alf Garnetts who have commented here. My suggestion is get a life and stop reading the Daily Mail you bigots.

  • @nicko70 only one thing to say you is right thanks for the comment

    nick cox hull

  • you want to go down spring bank its been taken over you will be lucky to see any true anglo saxon english shops down there i think there was 4 left last year, drug dealing in the open and not a copper insight gangs of ethnic youths on street corners and doesnt seem to be any laws or rules for them and as for driving their cars keep death off our roads, and now i have become a racist because i have spoken how i see it, not freedom of speech anymore, this lot are just taking the piss

  • l was born and bred in north hull,my first house when l got married was down clumber street.it was great untill we had drug dealers move in one side of us and a house full of students at the other..if that wasnt bad enough we had an influx of kurds and eastern europeans take over most of the city with no intention of intergration. our great leaders tell us if we dont like whats going on we must be rascists!.l was lucky enough to get out ..the city l loved with all my heart has been killed.

  • @eddietwang thanks for the comment look on my profile and click on my website and see hull as you new it

    nick

  • @nickladey ..and l would like to add l am not a rascist but l believe when people want to come to our country they must have something to give and want to be part of our society not just economic migrants wanting to make mini versions of there own countries whilst enjoying our freedoms and good nature.l am an athiest but believe everybody has the right to their own opinion and religious beliefs as long as it isnt rammed down my throat.those who live in our country but despise our values.

  • @eddietwang and way of lives dont have to come here, but being the sinic l am l doubt weather the welfare state, health service or daily freedoms are the same as in countries like pakistan, iran, saudi arabia,etc..l have never been a gambler but l bet the next time we have a terrorist attrocity in our country it will be commited by so called"british citizens" ..when was our right to question what is so wrong removed? as for the scum sucking local chavs l hate them even more!!!

  • Awesome! Been living in Western Australia for 12 years now but still East Hull born and bred. I tell everyone that I know that I'm proud to come from Hull and they all say 'why?' I say 'I don't know'. Thank you for making me remember why I am proud to say 'I am from Hull'!!! Best photo for me was of the Horse Wash (osswash!)

  • 4:24 - Which bridge is that? Looks a bit like Scott Street bridge... Now there's something they need to restore instead of wasing money on those damn apartments and that concrete and glass eyesore they are erecting opposite me blocking what little light my North facing house got.

  • Unlike York, Hull had a habit of knocking its old buildings down rather than renovating them. Having said that, some buildings deserved to be knocked down such as the eyesores on Ferensay before St Stephens.

  • thanks for your comment yes all the old buildings have gone as you say thay could of renivated them i miss the old buildings and thee things i grew up with

  • HULL NOW A FOOTBALL TOWN

What makes you follow the tiny game that is rugby league when you are surrounded by the global phenomena that is football, Aka the World Game??? The sport that you follow is nothing more than a pathetic MICRO sport realistically played in only five nations. While the game that I and the rest of the world follows is the number 1 sport in 220 countries, number 2 sport in 30 countries and the sport played in a total of 264 nations.

    HULL NOW A FOOTBALL TOWN

  • I love Hull!

Thanks for posting this, I wish I could go back in time! :(

  • Nick,

Thanks for this, I am a Hull lad and recognise some of them - I shall visit your website as you have suggested below. Just a word of warning - you might want to delete the photo at 2:54 (I think that is what is now the Docks Museum?) or you will be plagued by UFO nuts who will see a formation in the sky! Then again, maybe Hull could get some publicity if you bill it as such?! Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work.

  • thanks for the comment glad you liked the vid and new some of the places thanks again nick cox hull
