  • please make more tuts soon!!

  • This is great. I've always thought parkour was interesting, but have only just thought of actually trying it out for myself. What I've noticed and admire about the pk community is that everyone seems to be very focused on safety and correctness as opposed to just 'showing off' in a competitive way.

Your video is a great example of teaching people like me the fundamentals in a non-showy way. Thanks mate!

  • Very true. I changed the way I run. You will be surprised how easy it is to start running this way. Read Born to Run by Christopher McDougall. It gives a lot of detail on why this running style is so important (and it's a great read).

  • This helps thank you.

  • Nice video! Very important subject which I don't think people think about enough

  • here, i really hope you make some more tutorials. i like the way you are covering the real basics, cleaning up foundation technique. sign of a good coach that is. :) take care!

  • "beyasics". Irish accents are awesome.

  • yeah in track we were always taught to run like that it speeds you up and plus with the spikes it sped you up even more

  • hes not british hes from ireland, like me! xD

  • hes from northern ireland

  • When I do long distance running I go from heel to toe, which I absolutely hate, because I think it's a much easier way to pace yourself.

Naturally when I sprint, it's on the balls of my feet.

  • wow i run 3-4 times a week but didnt know some stuff you told, thanks o.O

  • awesome video!!

  • I walk on the ball of my foot and when I was little and most of my teachers told me that's the wrong way to walk and you should walk the other (bad) way. damn teachers, luckily i never listened =P

  • I find it awkward to walk ball-first, but I run ball-first most of the time. It's much faster, and it works better because you're leaning forward, whereas with walking, you are leaning slightly back or not at all.

  • i just run on the balls.but only the balls,i find it faster

  • good tutorial, i actually run on the balls of my feet, and luckily for me i have a field outside of my house... subscribed

  • It's been a month since my last comment. I watched this video again because I saw you had uploaded a new video. I'll be sure to watch the new ones you mentioned soon as they come out.

Anyways, I've been walking like this on the most part and I'm finding it to be easier to walk actualy. This is much harder to do with shoes on but I've been getting use to it.

  • jus sumthin about that accecent that make him sound like reeeaaall proffessional,lol..like jason statham

  • I have been doing as he said for about two weeks now and I have found myself as a highschool student trying these methods when going between classes with shoues on and barefoot on the track. If anyone els can try it I find it worth the time and it really does help.

  • This video needs more vies than the 740 something it has. Great video, I'll be sure to watch any other's you have. I love walking and running bare foot, it feels so much more natural than if you have shoes on. I've never thought about why grass is harder to run long distance on but that makes a lot of sence. This tutorial could lead well to things like basic jumping and walking/balencing on small objects. 5/5

  • lol very nice looking feet!

  • nice vid, its convienient that ive always walked on the balls of my feet my whole life so i got that down packed

  • Very nice ;)

  • muy bueno.

  • very good
