I am VERY new at playing and I have tried to get the sheet music to that melody every where and have tried listening to it and writing down the notes a zillion times but I can never get it. I LOVE that melody so much and just CAN'T play it. it. I have the first notes as

@donboudreaux am yes. it's C dur you play. this 18 th variation is in Ges dur (sol bemol major) :) but well played anyways :)
