Vanguard is the best MMORPG out there, if you like PVE content. there is no PVP (other than duels and arena areas), which is good cuz there is no retarded balancing neutering the possibilities of good PVE/raid content.

The crafting is probably the best in the market, but the adventuring is also amazing for those that can handle the challenge and can solo during times when groups are hard to find. The bugs are nearly gone now, and today's machines can handle the graphics.
Just play wow, it is so much better. and nothing will ever kill it. there is not a single flaw in wow. you can try to prove me wrong all you want but it will not change the facts.

i think vanguard was a really good game with lots of potential and lots of interesting new features, but as said in the video, SOE released it too soon :( and i think that SOE realised that, when i played the game for the first time there was atleast 20 servers, now there are like.....4 i think :( thats actually sad :(
Actually no, They have dungeons, alot of them, but they're apart of the game world, and no Load screens or instances, And two raids have been added. Besides, nothing is traditional with Vangard

I tried it and i liked it... but i couldnt keep up with the bugs. My leggings kept disappearing and all people told me to do is re-equip them...i shouldnt have to do that if the game has been out as long as it has and its not working correctly still...you see? Another time I picked up a quest and the game crashed. I logged back in to see there was no quest in my book and the NPC didnt offer it again. thats just stupid.

vanguard has fixed a ton of bugs since the release and has done a damn good job, the game is pretty clean now and still a hardcore group of player splaying. but sartok(ffa pvp) needs more people, so come join the game if you havent yet, it is amazing. Warhammer gets boring, and WoW is for kids. get over that shit already.

Druids, Rangers, Necromancers and Psionicists can all have pets. Druids can summon an element, Rangers have their charm skill which charms a creature for 60 seconds and they get a perm pet when they reach level 10, necromancers have a summon that you can equip. You dig dead bodies for suitable weapons for your pet. And Psionicists have a charm skill like rangers, only it's a bit more

Ive played Vanguard since launch and Yes i thas its problems but guess what Im STILL playing it. like ALL new MMO's it takes time to get things going yes it came out too early but the crafting diplo is fun and the view is awesome. I have a lvl 49 warior 35 carpenter. I make wood weapons and boats. it is a fun gam9e 9and will onky get better with time. I think to be honest not till 2009 will it shine
AOC is coming next march and and Warhammer is already behind schedual it shodul have already been released as they already have thier gms on payrole either way they are talking feb. For the big release.
The video basically says it all. The game was rushed cause sigil ran out of cash. However i would wait a year or so, i know they just added raid content, and perhaps it will be as the game was suppose to be. The biggest problem i had was the need for a group for almost everything on an almost barren servers. If this has changed I would like to know b/c this game has potential. Unfortunately thats it.
I wish they would re-review this game now...its lightyears better that when it was released. Trust me, I was there then and Im still here now. This shit is getting good.

WoW is great because it's accesible, I will agree with that. I don't play WoW anymore because it did get boring, but that happens with all MMOs in time. I personally play Vanguard but I won't jump up and say WoW sucks, but in the same vein someone who plays only WoW doesn't have the experienced authority to rule on what does or does not suck, and fyi WoW is a coupling of what has worked in tons of OTHER MMOs, it's not original.
And as usual, G4 gives another shitty review because Vanguard didn't give enough commercial time for those 2 leeches to sink their teeth into. G4 is to video games what MTV is to music.
WOW became a reference when it reached 9 million playesubscribers. Obviously more people are familiar with WOW, especially MMO newbies, than any other game.
Well thats because WoW is newer than Eq...Eq deffienently had its time and now the people who made it are trying to get to the younger MMO group. I say give em a chance to get the kinks worked out of the system and stop complaining.
Even though WoW is a more popular MMO, that doesn't make it a better one. It still has polygon terrain and characters and one of the easiest, quickest leveling systems known to man. WoW is not a game that requires ANY skill up until Pvp or Arena. Otherwise, it's just a game of patience. There are level 70 10 year olds out there. Way to be an awesome challenging game.

The game has improved since this video but still has that card game and the charly brown rain clouds. Game Update 2 fixed most of the lag and FPS issues, though it still has some. Just keeping you all updated. I keep it on my station access pass since its no extra cost to me.
The hosts of that show are nothing but a couple of tools. They obviously have no idea what they're talking about which makes this whole review pointless. They leave out so many details about the game it's ridiculous.

Make fun of having to work hard to enjoy the game? The value of each item in the game is relevant to how much work you spent getting it. If you are the only one willing to do that work, you get the respect no one else does. That was your reward.
I would have to rewatch the video to address all their attacks. How on earth can you attack 'yet another fantasy MMORPG that you want to squash' Everyone goes to see another Star Wars, no matter how bad it was fouled up, because people like more. I was one of the ones who got in before open beta. I remember how eager i was from all the promises made by sigil. It was supposed to be something new and ground breaking. The original UI for the game was more complex yet simple looking, now it just looks like a knockoff of other games, mostly the one that rivals with eq2. I think we all know that game... I attempted to cover up the copycat UI design with a custom UI. Somewhere along the line sigil decided to scrap their original plans. :/

It has amazing graphics, this game has some of the nicest scenery. (Only if you have a good comp)
The gameplay is alright.
Characters are stunning,
Landscape is great,
Diplomacy is alright,

The video basically says it all. The game was rushed cause sigil ran out of cash. However i would wait a year or so, i know they just added raid content, and perhaps it will be as the game was suppose to be. The biggest problem i had was the need for a group for almost everything on an almost barren servers. If this has changed I would like to know b/c this game has potential. Unfortunately thats it.

I've played wow, and personally cartoony graphics are for 5 year olds. The quests are super repeatative, and there is no depth to the game.

WoW is great because it's accesible, I will agree with that. I don't play WoW anymore because it did get boring, but that happens with all MMOs in time. I personally play Vanguard but I won't jump up and say WoW sucks, but in the same vein someone who plays only WoW doesn't have the experienced authority to rule on what does or does not suck, and fyi WoW is a coupling of what has worked in tons of OTHER MMOs, it's not original.

Even though WoW is a more popular MMO, that doesn't make it a better one. It still has polygon terrain and characters and one of the easiest, quickest leveling systems known to man. WoW is not a game that requires ANY skill up until Pvp or Arena. Otherwise, it's just a game of patience. There are level 70 10 year olds out there. Way to be an awesome challenging game.

Vanguard = for advanced players who know how to work as a team, and are not afraid of being punished for making stupid mistakes.
WOW = for beginners who don't really know much about role-playing games, and want a game that will let them win.
Vanguard = very mature and helpful community
WOW = good luck trying to get an answer

The game has improved since this video but still has that card game and the charly brown rain clouds. Game Update 2 fixed most of the lag and FPS issues, though it still has some. Just keeping you all updated. I keep it on my station access pass since its no extra cost to me.

I would have to rewatch the video to address all their attacks. How on earth can you attack 'yet another fantasy MMORPG that you want to squash' Everyone goes to see another Star Wars, no matter how bad it was fouled up, because people like more. I was one of the ones who got in before open beta. I remember how eager i was from all the promises made by sigil. It was supposed to be something new and ground breaking. The original UI for the game was more complex yet simple looking, now it just looks like a knockoff of other games, mostly the one that rivals with eq2. I think we all know that game... I attempted to cover up the copycat UI design with a custom UI. Somewhere along the line sigil decided to scrap their original plans. :/
