i have the 2007 model but the gearbox has been changed to work good with my 11.1 v lipo battery everything else exept from the stock is holding up nice. Never had any problems with it.

my jg m4 s-system i bought a couple days ago is working ok but everytime i shoot it it feels like the motors going to burn out or somethings going to break. when i shoot it i can smell somekind of odor coming from the gun and it makes a really loud noise when i shoot it. ive never had an airsoft gun like this and im going to stay with it for a long time so i want it to work properly. if anyone knows a fix for my gun please reply back.

1- Can you use a 9.6 volt battery in this gun?

2- Do regular M4 and M16 magazines work for this gun?

@23masters32 9.6v battery is tough to fit in the handguard but can be done with mods. It is an M4 so yes M4/M16 mags work.
