2.0 8v aba is slowest engine vw makes and 99 was the last year it was used soon to be replaced by th 1.8l 16v turbo which would spank the honda with ease

Uhhh, the 1.8T is a 20V motor, not 16V. And the 8V 4cyl motor was made up until 2005, it simply went from the ABA to the AEG. Same power output, but it was even slower because the MKIV weighed about 250-300 pounds more than the MKIII.

Also... it's not the slowest 8V motor Volkswagen ever made. Apparently, you've never been in a hydro-head 1.8 8V in a late-year MKII. It makes my Golf feel like a REVO'd 20V with a GT27R.
