Me parece a mí que más de la mitad de la gente no se para a leer las letras de las canciones y saber que dicen... Las letras de Stratovarius no se pueden comparar ni con Sonata Arctica ni con Dragon Force ni con na de ná'. Por más que escucho canciones de otros grupos, no consigo que me gusten porque las letras no me dicen NADA, me empalagan los temas con fondos amorosos. Como mucho me gustan un par de canciones porque tienen melodías expléndidas, pero por las letras... solo Stratovarius.

@InvictusAeternum Oh really? Well for Norther, I'd recomment "Frozen Angel" definitely, and "Mirror of Madness". For Wintersun, I'd recommend "Beyond The Dark Sun" and "Starchild". Yes..."Starchild" is long...but it's sooo worth listening to I promise!

Timo can't sing like this anymore. They have must start to play these songs in lower keys. Kotipelto's voice won't last high forever. The band can sound very nice playing some songs in lower keys, just as Sonata Arctica does with Wolf & Raven or Weballegry. Timo can't sing as this amazing show anymore. He hardly hits high notes and can't sustain them. It it time to take the songs to a lower key, so Timo can sing better and have amazing vocal performances like this one.

I agree. Pure speed is not everything. Dragonforce will never be #1 - they have no feeling. They need to look up to people like Stratovarius and Rhapsody. That's how this genre is done.
@spartan480bce I agree yeah, but I think it's unfair to say DF don't have emotion in there songs. The vocals are often very moving, take the outro to the Warrior Inside. That's damn good song writing. The chorus to the Valley of the Damned is incredible too. So yeah, the solos aren't AMAZING, if anything they suck, but guitar composing is very good.

DragonForce used to open for Strat, I believe that DragonForce are better at playing fast, but other than speed they are even and basically the same, I'm a fan of them both and have heard all of their songs so don't say I don't know what I'm talking about. Also DragonFoce have improved their live performance so now its awesome!.

If you know what they usually sound like live, you know this is not up to their standards. I so miss the sound of good old days now that they're... not gone, but quiet. (Search "stratovarius rmj 2004"). Last I heard, the "current" group has made it known they have big plans. Maybe the metallic heavens will open again one day, bringing speed and awesome melodies back to melodic speedmetal. They always get me! I don't even care about singing/lyrics that much. *puts palms together in deep thought*
Timo Tolkki is a great singer, the band was formed way back in 1985, last millenium, of the greatest power metal bands ever done. They came back to Finland after their successful tour of the East, and conquered Finland too, and Europe after that. A wonderful metal band, one of the greatest bands after Hanoi Rocks to conquer every shore.

You made a point there... :) But one thing is not correct: The best keyboard player ever is Jordan Rudess of Dream Theater. He - like all the other Dream Theater Guys - is just awesome. No offence meant, dude... I like power metal and Stratovarius rock, but when it comes to virtuosity most bands lose to Dream Theater.

DragonForce used to open for Strat, I believe that DragonForce are better at playing fast, but other than speed they are even and basically the same, I'm a fan of them both and have heard all of their songs so don't say I don't know what I'm talking about. Also DragonFoce have improved their live performance so now its awesome!.

I have seen Strato live and they were great,but DragonForce...are just OK,in the CD,amazing,but they can´t really play well live (just ZP,the singer)

If you know what they usually sound like live, you know this is not up to their standards. I so miss the sound of good old days now that they're... not gone, but quiet. (Search "stratovarius rmj 2004"). Last I heard, the "current" group has made it known they have big plans. Maybe the metallic heavens will open again one day, bringing speed and awesome melodies back to melodic speedmetal. They always get me! I don't even care about singing/lyrics that much. *puts palms together in deep thought*

Timo Tolkki is a great singer, the band was formed way back in 1985, last millenium, of the greatest power metal bands ever done. They came back to Finland after their successful tour of the East, and conquered Finland too, and Europe after that. A wonderful metal band, one of the greatest bands after Hanoi Rocks to conquer every shore.
