I'm an A300-600 Captain. At my company, Flaps 15/0 is a normal takeoff. Flaps 15/0 is slats extended to 15 degrees with flaps up. The ailerons are always drooped with slats extended. If the runway is short or otherwise performance limited, we use flaps 15/15 or flaps 15/20 if the runway analysis data calls for it. Normal landing flaps are 30/40 which is slats at 30 degrees and flaps at 40 degrees, all controlled by a single slat/flap handle.
I loved Turkey :) I went to Club Turquoise in Marmaris it was great. I loved all the staff members cos they are really friendly. Unlike the Spanish ignorant B*stards.
I think you find that 'how great a hero is' is a subjective point of view. To you he may be some 'poor pop star' but to others he was a living legend.
The British are happy to celebrate all aspects of our nation, not just militarily but our cultural and political heroes.
It is a shame that you are willing to give your own country such a bad name. Because I would think the French would respect, not criticise, a man who sung for peace and unity, over war.
They are not taking of without flaps. They have the flaps in the first setting which only deploys the leading edge flaps on the A300 and droops the ailerons a bit.
how much accident do you know about involved Onurair?they don't claim about they are the best airlines int he world!Onurair is a small-medium size, budget schedule and charter airlines, thats all! If you have chance read all daily accidents reports, you will see so many airlines living the same problems.Isn't?
Hi there, glad you liked the vid, Onur is a great airline, they have a few airbuses, can`t be sure what you will be flying on though. Grab a window seat if you can!! have fun...xx
Yes i will try get a window seat lol. i have been looking at some pictures of onur air at glasgow and i can only see the A300 and the A321 so i think it would be the A300 as the A321 i think could not do that distance. im not sure. thanks for you comment..
I was wondering the same thing too until I viewed other A300 videos. There are some departures where only slats are used. You can see the inner ailerons are positioned down as "mini-flaps".
Looks like this departure was light-weight, not a full load.

So, why werent the flaps extended for takeoff??!!!
temanatahiti 3 years ago
On the A300, sometimes you only need the slats. It might seem awkward, but it's perfectly normal.

...no, it was standing room only on that flight..
eddiesteele 2 years ago
1900nm from Liverpool to Dalaman Turkey, which is about 25% range at full fuel. Therefore it was pretty light flight.

Pakistan International Airlines also had A300 it was phased out very recently in 2006 I think
