  • Easyjey <3

  • fly baby fly!

  • Can/do these go transatlantic?

  • lol just arrived back from dalahman today

  • the flaps looks like its in its retracted postition..

  • dammit! That A300 climbs like a rocket

  • Is there a concert really going on down there upon take off or is it the resolution of the video.

  • I'm an A300-600 Captain. At my company, Flaps 15/0 is a normal takeoff. Flaps 15/0 is slats extended to 15 degrees with flaps up. The ailerons are always drooped with slats extended. If the runway is short or otherwise performance limited, we use flaps 15/15 or flaps 15/20 if the runway analysis data calls for it. Normal landing flaps are 30/40 which is slats at 30 degrees and flaps at 40 degrees, all controlled by a single slat/flap handle.

  • @WMAcadet Congrats, these days the A300 is being phased out by many airlines. How do you find the A300? Is it good?

  • nice clear video.

  • cool

  • i didnt know british airways operate from JLA. x

  • lol John Lennon airport

  • @USAF300 ..what`s so funny about JLA?

  • @eddiesteele Because he's just a famous musician...

  • @eddiesteele Its called LPL not JLA

  • @Ryan18181 "Oh no it isn`t!"

  • @eddiesteele the airport code is LPL i flew from there 3 months ago

  • it's quite common to applaud the landing

  • @cheezeontoast4 no not really :s

  • awesome video, rare to see an a300 at liverpool, why did people clap after landing??

  • I loved Turkey :) I went to Club Turquoise in Marmaris it was great. I loved all the staff members cos they are really friendly. Unlike the Spanish ignorant B*stards.

  • Wow I Really Enjoyed This Video :D

Reminds Of Landing In That Exact Airport In 2006 Was Rather Great :D

  • no flaps for takeoff?

  • maybe not a english hero but he's a liverpool hero, you idiot.

  • I think you find that 'how great a hero is' is a subjective point of view. To you he may be some 'poor pop star' but to others he was a living legend.

The British are happy to celebrate all aspects of our nation, not just militarily but our cultural and political heroes.

It is a shame that you are willing to give your own country such a bad name. Because I would think the French would respect, not criticise, a man who sung for peace and unity, over war.

  • alpacks , JOHN LENNON IS A LEGEND !

why not name a airport after him that gets 5 million passengers a year?

  • hows come the guys can take off with flaps up ?

    cheers!

  • Your flaps are in the final destination..

  • They are not taking of without flaps. They have the flaps in the first setting which only deploys the leading edge flaps on the A300 and droops the ailerons a bit.

  • thank you for the clarification. I see you are right.

    all the best from Spain.

  • how much accident do you know about involved Onurair?they don't claim about they are the best airlines int he world!Onurair is a small-medium size, budget schedule and charter airlines, thats all! If you have chance read all daily accidents reports, you will see so many airlines living the same problems.Isn't?

  • Nice. i am going to dalaman in July from glasgow. I am flying with Onur air , do you think it would be the a300 ?? 5 star vid

  • Hi there, glad you liked the vid, Onur is a great airline, they have a few airbuses, can`t be sure what you will be flying on though. Grab a window seat if you can!! have fun...xx

  • Yes i will try get a window seat lol. i have been looking at some pictures of onur air at glasgow and i can only see the A300 and the A321 so i think it would be the A300 as the A321 i think could not do that distance. im not sure. thanks for you comment..

  • i liked the vid

  • So, why werent the flaps extended for takeoff??!!!

  • On the A300, sometimes you only need the slats. It might seem awkward, but it's perfectly normal.

  • I was wondering the same thing too until I viewed other A300 videos. There are some departures where only slats are used. You can see the inner ailerons are positioned down as "mini-flaps".

Looks like this departure was light-weight, not a full load.

  • ...no, it was standing room only on that flight..

  • 1900nm from Liverpool to Dalaman Turkey, which is about 25% range at full fuel. Therefore it was pretty light flight.

  • Pakistan International Airlines also had A300 it was phased out very recently in 2006 I think

  • the a300 has been around for a while but it is still a very good aircraft. i always fly the a300 when ever i go from KPHL-KLAX

  • hahaha

  • i rode on an american a300 ... very large aircraft ..

  • seemed a bit steap

  • Haha still gets me how many people actually clap after landing

    d-_-b

  • What's up with the long description? Big fan of the A300? BTW smooth takeoff!

  • Very smooth take-off! That bird is humming.

  • cool, what airline was this?

  • Onur Air...xx

  • cheers

  • 0 flaps in take off??

  • that's an airbus A300 but anyway nice video man. i love dalaman

  • It say`s on the opening frame A300?? However, you`re right, Dalaman is a fab airport..
