@RaynMatrix Twin Peaks is amazing.....different stories etc but still love triangles and it keeps you really hooked with twists and turns. I'm a HUGE fan of the OC and I have a theory that the creators took some inspiration from Twin Peaks. :) Hope this helps

@sheekieboomboom oi season 4 was okay. i thought season 3 let it down. season 3 produced so many useless characters it required the rest of season and the better half of season 4 to clean it up. season 4 was the ultimate "goodbye" season. infact kelly rowan had said at that time that the cast knew the show was gonna end, season 4 was supposed to the parting season from the start. therefore it was mature and hilarious and tragic. and beautiful of course. ryan leaving in the jeep...ultimate!

HOWEVER, it was season 3 that led to the ultimate downfall and ending season that was to be Season 4. Marissa was an integral part of the story.. they need to either have killed her off EARLIER and transitioned away from her to possibly save the series (by that time, she was much too integral a character), or not kill her at all. They rushed her death, and replaced her with Taylor of all people, M's polar opposite.. terrible choice

@sheekieboomboom oh yeah, marissa's death being the very final scene of a season was a bit too shocking, also the way she was 'killed off' was kinda naive. BUT this is kind of a double edged sword. had marissa been killed in the middle of season 3, the director wouldve lost the final 'punch' of the season. they saved it for the last which is understandable, but it was terribly done. u do know that marissa had to be killed off though, as mischa wanted to do movies.

@TheArnabDas and yes taylor's presence had to be 'justified' and the director tried too hard to do that, although finally when i look back at it, i think taylor slipped into marissa's shoes (not replace her mind you) just fine. mischa barton may be beautiful and she may have been the star of the show but she's a terrible actress :)

for me adam brody and rachel bilson were the darlings...the ooo chooo chweet characters :)

This was, and ALWAYS will be, one of THE best shows ever to grace our screens. The writing was phenomenal, the theme tune was bliss, and your heart went out to the characters. I love watching it, but in a way it just makes me sad too because I'm reminded of the sad fact that it isn't being made anymore :'( It can't go on forever I know, but there's a part of me that just wishes it did.
