she died after giving birth to Garaa. She gave him the power of sand so he can protect himself, but he have a monter inside of him and people think hes a threat. Garaa's family member hates him bescause they believe he was the reason his mother died.

OMG ROFLMAO!!!!hehe, warlocks, Gaara's mom didnt "give him the power of sand", as u put it. He had the shukaku (one tailed demon) sealed inside him at birth by his father, who was trying to create the ultamite weapon. but, unfortunatally, do that a sacrafice was needed, which ended up being gaaras mom. the shukaku is what caused gaaras power to control sand, and the shukaku himself is what makes the special sand in gaaras gourd pretect gaara, even when he doesnt want to be protected .
