  • FAAARK!,wikid az m8

  • looked to me like the Trevally wanted to eat the spear at first !

  • BOOOOOOOOM HEADSHOT!!!

  • @luckyshot5 that things head is bigger than most fish....would have to be a rookie to get it anywhere else!

  • @GRolla101 hitting the head is one thing. as you can see the fish still took off and bent his shaft. so rookie or no rookie, if you dont hit the sweet spot on the head (or spine) stoning the fish, it doesn't really matter cuz your still gonna have a fight on your hands.

  • carribean?

  • gooooood yuoe prinsssssss

  • Lastima que un pez tan guapo y bravo muera de esa manera, te sentiras orgulloso y todo mamon

  • sos un negro de mierda

  • nice speargun

  • Nice fish. Sucks about the shaft though. I've never seen that happen.

  • holy shitload of big ulua

  • Nice... If that's half the world record, the world record must be fucking enormous!!!

  • Right on bruddah! Nice score and good eats fo' sure!

  • What a sweet fish! Nice SHOT!!!!

  • nice catch :3

  • O que faltou para você matar o seu parceiro em ?

  • @wooperpooper86 actually if you are talking about more than one species of fish then fishes would be correct...

  • Comment removed

  • @fjeppesen Dude, I don't know why I'm even responding to this, but why does everyone seem to think that they are experts at judging the weight of a fish from underwater videos? I only weigh 140 lbs. I have more than 10 people that were at the port when I returned, and witnessed it weighed on a certified scale with plenty of pictures. This fish was half the weight of the current world record, so if I was going to lie, then it would have been the new unofficial record......

  • @fjeppesen lucky your soo good at sizing fish on youtube otherwise youd look like a dumb shit. LOL!

  • @bigwestful Someone has sand in her vagina ?

  • @fjeppesen haha lucky you got good come backs aswell haha

  • @fjeppesen lucky you got good comebacks aswell

  • @bigwestful Idiocy is replied with likewise level of intelligence :)

  • @fjeppesen hahahahaha and the come backs keep getting better, your soooo smart

  • time for a slip tip

  • all that blood in the water and no sharks wtf

  • Hawaii!

  • is it hard to use a spear gun?

  • @Tsuchinokoed123 IMPOSIBRU!

  • turned your spear into a giant hook lol

  • DAMN headshot

  • nice, looks like dania beach jacks, is that where you were?

  • nice...2 x thumbs up

  • Great Shot!

    what a great thrill!

  • Lol hunting4TheLight got owned

  • i don't think you can point the finger at any 1 person and say you're effectively affecting any species. dont care if you spear fish all day and chuck the dead corpses after you shoot em, 1 person does not make a dent in a species unless its already endangered. you want to blame someone, blame an INDUSTRY, not a person. and ANY form of fishing requires skills. great vid, bad trolls.

  • @noyzizi if everyone shares your outlook on it, then eventually it WILL make a big difference. I am not trolling, I just would hate to see you throwing dead fish away and pretending it doesn't matter.

  • @advid100 nothing goes to waste in nature, if you spear a fish and toss the body back into the sea then a bunch of smaller fish will have a meal or a larger fish with have his meal. by killing that ulua, you save hundreds of opelu from being eaten. if you let the ulua live then eventually it will be eaten by something else, probably a shark. everything dies in nature but as long as something else benefits from it its ok

  • @noyzizi you are such a knob jockey

  • Maaaaaaaaaaan, I hope youve got a blown up hi-def stil shot of 3:34 on your wall parrallel to your hecticly bent shaft! Thats an epic dive, shot, fish and video to prove it :) Good to see you dealing with the ignorent internet with some calm collection :)

All the best from a fello spero

  • Nice catch! To all you haters out there: GET OVER IT! I catch fish and eat them and if I don't eat them, I release them. I use good ol' rod and reel, but it serves the same old 'porpoise' (bad pun, I know).

  • Wow nice shot. You were in for a hell of a fight if you missed the head. Congrats and dont listen to the haters. They are probably eating tuna sandwich by now

  • @daroostaisback what do you mean? he hit the head and still had a hell of a fight. his bent shaft was proof. the fact that he had to fight it out of the hole is also proof. now if he hit the head or spine and stunned or killed it then there would be no fight. its an amazing fish tho. about 40lbs bigger than any ulua ive ever caught... :(

  • @leMEshoU IMPOSSIBRU!

  • @daroostaisback did you just give me a rape face lol? i'll see if i can find the video of a friend of mine shooting a ulua/travelly close to 100lbs with and small gun. he was only able to penetrate about an inch through the fishes thick skull but hit the sweet spot and stoned it (the flopper didn't even engage). now that was impossibru! i think he used a 90cm gun...if i find the link i'll send it to you.

  • this looks like a video game!

  • Good shot, sir!

  • Why y'all wear your underwear outside your wetsuits? LOLz

  • spear fishing is the best!! XD just be careful and keep it to a limit cause no one wants a species to start disappearing

  • @Hunting4TheLight LOL...Read your own post one more time, then tell me about education again. If you're going to put down "stupid asians", in English, then you should probably learn the language first. Two things: 1. This fish was shot for sport, but also for food (you don't eat fish in your Country?). 2. I'm American, so you should probably know who you are attacking, before you randomly discriminate against Asians.

  • @Umiacha70 i welly like that big fish... I WONT ONE 2!!!

    or maybe i buy one:D

  • @Umiacha70 3rd.you should kil the big ones of course cause the little ones dont worth it why would u kill the little fished that are going to grow up and be big ones?

  • @Umiacha70

yeah huting4life! come say read books down here in hawaii motherfucker! this is the most wanted fish on the islands! tell read a book? we will know the holy shit out of you!

  • @Umiacha70 hehehe owned made me smile to have a troll put down that hard

  • @Hunting4TheLight lol fish is plural and singular!! and it's spelled dumb haha

  • @Hunting4TheLight idiot. Asians dont have problem with numbers of fish. WE Asians can overfeed you with fishes and still have plenty for ourselves. I alone can overfeed your whole family till u all die and still have plenty of fish at the sea and at my fridge. I pity your country for having faggs like you

  • @chu28berry Asians dont have a problem with the number of fish? Are you sure about that? Do you know that we have reduce the number of fish 99% since 1900? It's sure that the 1% remaining is enough for you to do what you claim you can do..Do you know that tuna's population is about to colapse? What is your country doing about it? What are you doing about it?What are we doing abou it?

  • @Hunting4TheLight Hahahaha! Genius "Greek" trying to educate "Asians"... Nothing could be more funny than seeing that! Only an idiot can claim that spearfishing, the most selective fish hunting technique, is responsible for the extinction of the fish...

  • @Hunting4TheLight the fuck this should go on epicfail.com

  • @Hunting4TheLight you feel stupid huh? you racist bastard. And also, you must be one real bitch. Cause if your so into preserving nature and all, you must be a HERBivore. I bet you dont eat pussy either. You gay fuck.

  • @Hunting4TheLight I suggest you go educate yourself mister.

  • dont those things have worms

  • @ilikemoneyalot1 I haven't had a problem with worm in this species in Okinawa.

  • @ilikemoneyalot1 Nah, only when you're pole fishing... *womp wah* ;p lol

  • what camera did you use?

  • @bassmaster11294 Olympus M Tough w/ underwater housing.

  • @Umiacha70 Holla!! That's what I use as well, favorite sport camera ever! Taken it from Ireland to Mexico and everywhere between from skiing to snorkling. Awesome cam!

  • @Umiacha70 same here lolo

  • not good eating? over 40 pounds they get tough and tastless...i catch pan size and up to 20 pounds...the smaller ones are kinda sweet tasting...great sashimi...ceviche...etc.dont kill it if your not going to harvest or use it...ALOHA

  • looks like he tried to swim through a gap when the shaft was halfway through him and then bent it back on both sides of its body.

  • hey. where bouts is this

  • ooooooo bus the shaft das how

  • @Mr44hoku gotta be Hawaiian...rajah dat

  • Wicked vid...Trevally give a great fight. Much repect for hitting the open ocean and going without a tank. Nice one.

  • this is awesome trevally you know if in mexico is te jurel is the same fish tanks for you answer

  • we like that fish in my country and very expensive too... if you buy that in the market......

  • i prefer the fight of it on my line .But everyone has his way.

  • blood is PISSING out of the fish!!!

  • nice video mate....

  • @mattycazam2 Nothing me or my friends shoot are wasted. We live in Japan, and everything but the bones are eaten. Just because you don't like to eat them, so the whole world should stop eating them???

  • @Umiacha70

A lot of people like eating trevally. .. and it getting down to where the trevally are isn't as simple as it seems.

Was this at the crevasses in Okinawa?

There are a bunch of giant trevally at the oil rigs near Ikei.

  • @toecutterx this was not at the crevasses. it was closer to Naha. I've snuck out to the rigs on several occasions over the years, but only once did I have a chance at a huge trevally. I only had a tiny gun w/ a suicide rig, so I didn't shoot. I figured best case was I would just wound him, and worst case was that he would take my gun from me....

  • @Umiacha70 How do you get to this site? I usually spear up north close to shore. Your video looks like it was taken near a sea wall. I got a medium size spangled emperor yesterday that was very tasty.

  • @Umiacha70 whale just aint enough??

  • @Umiacha70 Congratulation Mr. Umiacha, and all the good vibes to your country from Venezuela.

  • @mattycazam2 look at the way you attacked that man for something you don't even understand. We live in the Southern Caribbean and trevally is a lovely fish to eat, if you know how to cook it. Sometimes they pass like a freight train in pretty deep water. So from an ethical and sporting standpoint there ain't nothing wrong with shooting trevally.

  • @mattycazam2 shut the fuck up a go back to what ever the fuck it is you do because you obviously know jack shit about spearfishing. this guy by the look of it is a good spear fisher and you have no right to tell him otherwise

  • its an ulua hoy

  • @breeze344

Dude can you not see the size of that thing? Haha

    Nice catch

  • that fucka took off!

  • totally fucked the spear, but ohh well

  • so mean

  • The fish that you shot in this video is called a Horse eye Jack, you're right the older they get the thicker the girth of the fish. the intermediate ones look quite large but are very light for their size. i guess this one is much older judging from it's thickness. they are not bad eating fish but the meat has a lot of gristle in between the layers and may turn off some people, the best way to eat them is to fry the meat with lots of seasoning and breadcrumbs until it's dark brown.

  • I've been diving, spearfishing and fishing here in Barbados for over 30yrs. we have one species here called a crab trevally and they grow to over 100lbs; the biggest I've seen landed was over 5 feet long and almost 3 feet wide and he weighed in at just over 60lbs. i don't want to seem rude but i was just comparing the two visual sizes per guess weight but I've been known to be wrong sometimes.Nice head shot though.

  • @breeze344 No problem. I have no experience with the Crab Trevally, but I do have pictures of this Giant Trevally on a certified scale. This species does not seem to get much longer, just thicker. They are probably the second strongest fighting fish that we get around Okinawa, the first being the Dog-tooth Tuna.

  • @breeze344it is not called trevally its a crevally there is a different

  • @breeze344 Hail! A Barbadian brother!

I now start spearfishing and checking the videos and I see this comment. Small internet.

  • Come'on i should think that everyone knows that trevally is a very light fish for it's size. judging from experience that fish only weighs around 25-35lbs; you can't fool all of us Mr. spear fisherman.

  • @breeze344 LOL. And what a vast amount of experience you must have then :D

  • @breeze344 although your guess is off by about 20-25lbs, in your defense, we did find a half digested cuttlefish in his stomach that we did not weight, but that I guess weighed around 15lbs. If you subtract that weight, then he would have weighed closer to 60lbs.

  • It didn't seem that large until the diver gave some perspective. WOW! Are they good eating? Looks like a lot of fun.

  • Good video ! I love my GoPro. Check out my videos on yourtube too as I wear my Go Pro on my head for hand free filming. Also have video on vimeo titled Key West Adventure 2010.

  • That was a lot of blood..

  • puta que pariu que sufoco pra furar a cabeça do peixe po!

  • Brah, you fucking stoned dat one! Mean!

  • are trevally's in the jack family?

  • The blood in the water would attract sharks right eh?

  • OMG...that is one big GT man.......i never knew they grow that big....awesome

  • @laihogates they can get up to 4x bigger than that .... especialy in northern queensland australia , and at the great barrier reef. its unbelievable

  • holy shit that thing is fucking huge!!, it didnt look as big, but fuck i bet that made a great fishi taco

  • your fins the c4's do you think they are the best in the world

or are they just allround suitable for your diving

  • @morgasticmorgan I don't know if they are the best in the world, but I love them more than any other fin that I have tried. I especially like the ergonomically designed foot pockets.

  • Its hard out there for them.. Get shanked.. haa

  • Very good big fish , but where is the sharks

You do not have sharks in there

  • @jazzstar747 we have very few sharks here, and they are almost never a problem. some of the the outer islands have more problems with sharks, but not on the main island.

  • Omer wetsuit- $350-400 c4 fins- $400-500 Riffe Euro- $500 Riffe Shaft with slip tip- $170-200 Dive Watch-$??? Digital Camera in water housing-$??? Tag line and Floater-$??? Goggles and Snorkel-$??? Dive Knife-$?? Weight Vest-$??? Shooting a 73.5lb Ulua(GT) and getting it on film from start to finish PRICELESS....
  • thats good graphics

  • wow, that was great!!!!! do u use a slip tip??? which kind?? thnx

  • nice head shot

  • kahului harbor?

  • @mauiSURF808 nah, this is in Japan.

  • @mauiSURF808

    murderer !

  • @xytkhi Go an eat a cabbage.

  • @xytkhi

    fuck you

  • beautiful shot man, wish i could shoot that well

  • bad luck about your spear man. how much did another one set you back?

  • @0Engineer about $70, but when your hunting GT, you have to be prepared to replace broken gear. They are almost as tough as Dog-tooth Tuna to land if you don't stone them.

  • bad luck about your shaft man. how much did another one set you back?

  • I hope you enjoyed the meat or please explain why you kill it?

  • @mx6mao88 to eat you dum ass

  • @mx6mao88 dam you are stupid

  • @mx6mao88 you clicked to watch a video with the word spearfishing in its title. Why did you watched it in the first place? What did u expect shooting fish with flowers and love? damn all you fake-ecologists-trolls

  • @TheChristosT I raise coy carps and i love them

but i spend lots of hours spearfishing and i have no regret killing a fish to eat....

  • @TheChristosT HAHAHAHHAHAHAH shooting fish with flowers and love

    GENIOUS!

  • waooow my god thats not a fish

    thats a fucking elephant

tell us did it taste good, pls next time invite us

  • @boozouz It was good. I took it to my friend's restaurant. He can make carp taste great! We had like an 8 course meal out of it, and he kept the rest for his business.

  • what did you do with the fish?? please answer

  • @shadowrslayer took it to my friends restaurant and had a feast.

  • @Umiacha70 Oh u could have given it to me, nice video mate

  • nice vid!! i still think that shooting fish takes no or very little skill. hitting em with a hawaiian sling, that's skill. still looks like a blast though

  • @racooninabag If it takes no skill, why do people still buy their tuna in a can...? Because things like knowing how to swim exceptionally well, breath hold diving to 60' for over a minute, knowing where the fish will be and how to get close to them, knowing about the ocean and all it's dangers like tides, currents, waves, etc... Those aren't skills....? It takes a certain kind of person to enter the food chain to get their own dinner. People like us feed the people who can't feed themselves.

  • @TheKillerTuna spot on mate

  • to have an opportunity like that....fk ur a lucky man.

  • awsome video those bad boys are no joke we hunt alot of those in hawaii and the record is hard to beat i think its 150lb. but i have a quick question how did you set up that break away line as far as setting up the shaft line to float line and the gun?

  • what type of gun u got and whats the line system u got??? i mean like sum have it where u shoot and the line is attached to a float what syatem is that???

  • @95090978 Riffe Euro 120X. I'm using the break away system, where the shaft separates from the gun and is connected to the float.

  • boom head shot

  • すごいい!おいしいそ!Okinawa spearfishing is the best! do you have any unwanted gear? i will buy !

  • @okinawaskate Sorry, no extra gear for sale at the moment. I do sell Riffe Spearguns and accessories. speargun .com

  • @okinawaskate Sorry, no extra gear for sale at the moment. I do sell Riffe Spearguns and accessories...speargun .com. Send me a message for details.

  • @okinawaskate Sorry. I do not have any extra gear, but I do sell Riffe spearguns and accessories. Send me a message for details.

  • Great footage, awesome catch. Extremely well done, you get um. How did the fish taste? Made some sashimi?

  • Time for a new shaft. Nice fish.

  • stupid ....monkey.s

  • dovrebbero fiocinare voi..

  • Big fish.. Good job.. Well done.. :)

  • Thats cool i have the same exact fins and wetsuit love my c4s

  • good!!!

  • thats some decent structure down there, what is it ? alanta ?

  • @TwigsterAndFire It is a seawall in Okinawa, Japan.

  • man perfect shot, nice spear at the end haha great fish though

  • my friend great video sa me about the mustang fins are you happy about them cause i thinking to buy them,,,

  • @sytherakos I love my C4s! When it comes time to buy another, I think I will not get the mustangs, but one of the types with the longer blade.

  • good shot...look like the reef runway .....is it?

  • @LEOFALASCO not sure what you mean by reef runway...
