Projector, I can see, getting mine delivered on tuesday. Steering wheel, I can see, great way to control racing games...

Random ugly metal box in your house so you can sit in "a car" while racing, I don't see.

Why would you want that? What about when friends are around to watch a film? When you play some other type of game...

What about when you are with a lady friend?

"Hey, take a seat in the lounge, don't have a couch but you can sit in the cockpit..."

If that's what you like I guess. =P

@FrankypankyV8 It doesn't, like I said, if that's what he like then good for him. I have just bought myself a racing wheel too, I play it on a projector in 3d too, I just personally wouldn't want a metal cockpit in my house, the wheel takes up enough room. I was only making a light joke, not really criticising him.

Don't get me wrong, what he has done is awesome, however there's what is awesome and what is practical in my eyes.

does the bigger wheel hurt the motors at all after time? i have 3 momo's all with bad pedals but perfect wheels.

DUDE. That cockpit is the coolest thing I have ever seen! It must have taken a while to build! Seeing this makes me want to build a racing cockpit, but for a NASCAR stock car. Hopefully I can do that... but awesome job, and I hope you have fun it for a long time to come.

I took a "Black Momo", I removed the sterring wheel from it, leaving just the "Steering colum" of the Momo. I screewed a 1" piece of wood at the end of the steering calum where the wheel used to be, and then screewed the car steering wheel to that wood block. For the shifter, I cut the shifter assembly off the momo, extended the electrical wires, and relocated on the side, installed a new "shifter ball". Really easy stuff, u can do it urself on urs, trust me, I'm no rocket scientist.

There's really not much to see there, I'm far from being an alien. On that not, when I'll do it all over again, I'll install the clutch pedal much closer from the brake/accel. Because it's spaced appart, I miss the pedal from time to time :/

For the steering I do, the steering wheel is mounted on my old "black momo". For the pedals, the the pressure comes from the springs, so it's not FFB.
