  • Can you make older Lincoln Mark V 1977 or 1979 video?

  • WEIRD...

  • Please, restore the interior or put it out of its misery.

  • if the continental and the LS had a baby... this would be it.

  • ,mark 8 with sequential taillights <3

sequential taillights are a must!!!! :)

  • im sorry but those do not look like xenon headlights. more like HID's

  • @bobrec3GTI xenon are hids, just a single beam(low beam hid only). Bixenons are the ones that you see now adays with a projector and both the high and low beam in one. Back in the day, before the designers started using projectors with an electronic solenoid cutoff shield, they used the kind in the movie above. You can buy the bixenons on retrofitsource(just google it) and put them in any car though.

  • @H20MarkVIII arent xenon lights gas-based bulbs? Xenon uses gas which happens to be called xenon. HID's use a mix of metallic salts in their gaseous states to produce light..

  • @bobrec3GTI Many Chinese bulb companies name their bulbs xenons because they have a blue coating on them which mimics the colour of hids. Traditional halogen/knockoff xenons(without a ballast) do indeed use a gas/wire combo which heats up to produce light. You are correct hid do use a salt combination to produce light, Hid bulbs are closer in design to a spark plug then a halogen bulb which is why they require a ballast to increase the voltage. Xenons that are genuine hids are low beam only.

  • I might get one of these as my first car

  • @punchmaster123 dude you dont want this as a first car trust me. you WILL crash it.

  • could you do a video on the mark 7?

  • that car is gorgeous

does that car have a control for ride height???

or does it drop only when the car shuts off????

  • @kubalibre305 the car will lower an inch when you drive at 65mph for 90 seconds and raise once you hit 45mph for 90 seconds. Once you turn off the car and let it sit for 4 hours then it auto lowers to the sitting position. There is a module that you can get so you can lower it or raise it as you want though.

  • @H20MarkVIII sweeett this is gunna be my next car trust me lol

  • @kubalibre305 Just dont crash it like I did to mine a couple weeks ago... A headlight, a fender and some paint is considered a write off with these cars. I want to get another mark 8 but i think im going to get a 1990 sl500 convertible instead.

  • @H20MarkVIII yea i saw one for 2000 bucks on craigslist and it needed the right quarter panel, headlight and bumper lol but no i live in a place where there are many roads and most with no houses or anything so i can go fast and have fun without any danger :)

  • Im going to be pissed if the scrap yard is selling the car for 2 grand. The insurance company gave me 2500 and the scrap yard gave me 1000. Maybe I will buy it back for 1000 and fix it then. Thx for info

  • some one tore this car up with the way the inside looked what a shame!

  • Great Video Kyle. Thanks

  • Is very reminiscent also of the '94 Chrysler Concord (rear and front lights, long nose/profile)... For a luxury sports sedan, that's one very ugly speed cluster. Just one question: is this the same air suspension found on buses?

  • That's ALOT of room in the front.

  • saabkykle04 is awesome!!!!

  • Beautiful car...

  • 8:40 hotel californiaaaaaaa!!!!!!!

  • when you pulled the sun roof closed, it looked like there was blood on it.

  • looked like somebody died in the front seat

  • do a drift!

  • The previous owner(s) really trashed the interior of this poor Lincoln.

  • i wanna buy one of these to race with!

  • no top comment. HELLO

  • This car is missing its engine shroud. I use to have one of these when they were new. Absolutely stunning car when it was new, one of the first with Xenon headlamps.

  • coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool i love your videos

  • did you see how fast the temp needle rose? wow @ 5:20

  • @lawnside82 wow your right on point bro. good eye

  • @lawnside82 just the thermostat opening up, nothing to be alarmed about or anything

  • did the car shift side to side when you revved it? lol

  • Why couldn't Lincoln put this 290hp. 4.6 V8 engine into the LS...instead of, a BS detuned weak 3.9 Jag. engine?!

  • Should have called it the Valdez. Who destroyed those seats? Some 1,000 pound man sliding in and out of his poor car.

  • I like the Camaro sitting next to it a lot more. :)

  • basically an even uglier version of the thunderbird ;)

  • The freaking car dont lower when you open the door. it lowers after being driven, then, park then shut down , then close door. thats when it lowers. and when restarted it rises back up . depending on the weight the sensors recieved will vary on the height.

you wouldn't see it till you get out and shut the car. my three fat girlfriends decide to take ride on my lincoln mark viii when they got into the car the compressor stood on longer than usual til bags fill, too make up for the weight.

  • @MEGABOINK65

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the car lower itself at high speeds as well? One of Fords ways of making the car more aerodynamic.

  • @AandWProductions yes it does , driving over 60 mph it starts lowering. you really dont feel it lowering.

mine starts too rise when i get off the highway, rising you would feel and hear the compressor, if is quite out.

  • @AandWProductions Depends on year & model I believe. Some LSC had a button you could push with predetermined settings for ride height or quality as well. They can lower to improve fuel and reduce drag. I have a 96' base model and lowered it by using a Dremel to elongate the holes for the sensor brackets to lower it about an inch and a half or so. But I've never heard the compressor kick on after being on the highway nor do I think it lowers itself while @ 60mph+. Think it was a 97 -98 option.

  • quite i big profile lol.....just wetesanding y whole car today...no shit

  • I like chrome and am therefore not a fan of the LSC trim.

  • what part of the country is this? It's hard to believe this car has no rust in the rocker panels or bottoms of the doors considering the shape the rest of the car is in...it's nearly impossible to find a solid MN12 now adays unless its somewhere down south or out west..

  • What about a Mark VII video?

  • Poor Mark VIII. It's in such sad shape. Amazes me how people take such poor care of their cars.

  • not to bad shape

i like it. i just never understood why these cars were so low to the ground

  • @blondiecutieee the car lowers when its shut down, it's air suspension :)

  • @braydenmartindale Yea. Leaking Air suspension. You make it sound like it's supposed to do that.

  • @rmcdev What lower on shutdown? ALOT of air suspension vehicles lower when you shut them down and yes they are SUPPOSED to do that. I have owned several and when you shut them off after a few seconds they release and lower.

And yes, my brand new half a year old car is supposed to do that, and it's in the manual.

  • @braydenmartindale Wrong. NO Lincoln is supposed to lower to the ground, EVER. Yes, it vents and lowers slightly when you open the door, but the front end of that car is completely on the ground, which says that either the bags, line, or seals in the drier are leaking, or all 3.

  • @rmcdev Look at how low to the ground it is even after the air bags re-inflate, thats normal. I had an old Town Car with the same air suspension this vehicle has, and it always deflated when you turned the vehicle off. My Land Rover does the same.

  • @braydenmartindale Again, you have no idea what you are talking about. The car vents less than HALF an inch when you open the driver door.

The rule of thumb is if the car loses more than an 3/4 of an inch overnight, there is a leak and it needs repair. This is NOT normal. I don't care if your Land Rover lowers when you turn it off, it certainly does NOT lower itself to the bump stops like this car is, and if your Town Car lowered itself more than an inch, it had a leak as well.

  • @rmcdev I have no idea, what next you want to tell the multiple mechanics that checked the car out that they are wrong too?? Plus I didn't say there was anything wrong with the car I said SOME CARS lower themselves after being shut down.

It's pathetic how you idiots care so much about being ignorant to strangers.

PS: Don't be a fucking rude ass, unless you want me to be a f&cking asshole right back to you, and you won't like that.

  • i had a 94 mark viii really fast and comfortable great cars some one cause me to wreck mine i miss it

  • this car looks like it should have the smoothest suspension ever put on a vehicle

  • what a cool car

  • what a brutal voice

  • Were those headlights stock?

  • @NorthStarOlds Yes on 97-98's no matter the trim level. 96 lsc's had them too. The bulbs havn't been made in years but there is a conversion bracket you can buy for around 50 bucks so that it'll allow you to use any aftermarket hid kit. The oem bulbs can be had for about 100 each on ebay used.

  • @sbcaprice305 Oh alright thanks! I wasn't sure.

  • aw thats a good song by the styx come sail away greatest song ever

  • i just got rid of my 1998 Mark viii lsc. it was Black with Black inside! i miss it so much. but when it broke it was alot of $. i remember driving to get on the highway and the engine would sound so awesome and had no probel getting up to speed!

it was it great condition. none of that crap on anything

  • i just got rid of my 1998 Mark viii lsc. it was Black with Black inside! i miss it so much. but when it broke it was alot of $. i remember driving to get on the highway and the engine would sound so awesome and had no probel getting up to speed!

  • i have this car in black wth gray leather love this car

  • I saw one of these last week, it was an LSC too! My grandad has a red 94 and a pearl white 98, they're both beasts.

  • id rather own one of these over a eldorado any day, 4 wheel air ride that constantly monitors and adjusts for speed and the performance it gives for its size is impeccable for the year it was made

  • already before someone buys it it needs over 2 grand to repair the air ride

  • the first song is sail away by styx

  • the song is sail away by styx

  • Do a Lincoln Mark VII

  • whats the name of the song??????in the radio

  • Nice looking car but there are definitely signs inside that ford was low on cash at the time like that awful gauge cluster... looks like it came off an escort bleegghhh and that hideous shifter package. Overall nice car when it came out and there weren't many cars that were THAT streamlined looking in the mid 90s

  • @Wheelman286 Here's an exterior sign of money troubles... it looks like they stole the doors directly from a mid 90s Taurus also. They may have made them longer but look close and you'll see what I mean.

  • Im sorry but i dont like it very much. i think its a little plain looking. Do you have many BMW videos?

  • Some snot nosed scribbled all over the drivers seat

  • quite possibly the ugliest car i've ever seen! but sounds good though :)

  • Can you PLZ do a review on the green convertible mustang, the one beside the odd purple mustang with the white top?

  • this thing is huuuuuuuuge

  • Daaamn this thing is uuuugly

  • I might be getting one of these soon! 113K, $4 grand, same color, a little bit better condition...is it worth it? should I get it?

  • @ScoobyBaseball ... without seeing the car, yes ...

  • @drjesus616 Do you know if this thing does take premium? If so, should I still get it?

  • in thirty years, this will be the car of choice for lowriders.

  • Sounds so sexy!

  • Comment removed

  • whose car is this kyle?

  • whoa looks like someone soiled themselves in the seat

  • Damn, i love the roar of that bad boy. Sounds better than some newer cars...

  • Never saw a Mark VIII with the cupholder not broken

  • I love the Lincoln Mark VIII, they're so cool...wouldn't it be awesome of there was a 2014 version when the new Mustang arrives?!

  • These cars are sweet :D Especially the older versions with the more awesome grille and headlamps

  • With the demise of the Town Car next year, there will be no more Rear wheel drive lincolns besides the some of the Navigators. That's just a damn shame. Lincoln, bring back RWD and make it competitive with BMW and Mercedes and I promise you will make sales. Look how well the CTS is doing.

  • @Maserati7200 Navigators are always RWD,and there's not really anything wrong with FWD....it's definetly not for V8 Powered Vehicles tho.

  • Could you do a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe (mid-late 80's) or Thunderbird Super Coupe (late 80's-90's)?

  • Cobra engine! Very potent engines'!!!! Nice car btw!!!

  • is that in the back lot?

  • exterior and dash looks pretty neat; but the conditions of the seats were sad to look at

  • almost sounds like a mustang

  • @jokerofallsaiyans its basically a mustang motor

  • @PRO50MUSTANGS yeah i figured that once i heard the engine rev, well it's made by ford gotta love em!

  • Anyone else notice that when he started reving the engine the temp started going up very fast?

  • I Love all your videos (of-coarse) lol!

You should try to find a Dodge Avenger(sedan)

    Or a Lincoln MKS.

  • 8:50 best song ever.

  • @brbn93 I agree with you too. Hotel California. My favourite.

  • was this rwd?

  • @saabkyle04 sorry I am form romania i dont know this thing (sorry for bad english)

  • Can I add you like a friend in Facebook ? what's your real name if, yes?

  • @MrSpeedking13 He has a fan page under the name saabkyle04.

  • @MrGSNfan i know ;-)

  • 3 people ride their friend's car cuz they cant drive

  • nice video man ..:D

can you do a vw touran video please?

  • @djlau008 LOL? The Touran is not available in the US.

  • Poorly assembled out of cheap plastics and other man made materials, impractically large in design for a coupe and still manages to only seat 4 people with not much space in the rear. Huge unrefined, under engineered V8 which achieves less than 10mpg and produces less horse power than a european 2.0L straight six that can get 30mpg. or in other words, its american

  • @cupramac bull shit

  • @cupramac

The entire cabin is filled with soft touch high quality plastics. This car was pure luxury and comfort. It was large because that was Lincoln´s way years ago when they had not a single medium size sedan. It can seat 4 people comfortably considering this is a coupe and not a family car ( people who bought this rarely got passengers in the back). This engine was very well developed for the 90s. It had more power than a comparable BMW 4.4 or M-B 4.3 V8 of that era.

  • @cupramac

Also you have to consider the engine output you mention (2.0 I-6) is uncommon even these times. Current large V-6s are pushing comparable performance to this Lincoln´s V-8 but remember in those times Direct injection VVT and all that electronic stuff was unavailable. That´s why you can´t compare old and new motors. You can get much better milleage in this car if drive properly. Also you can get less MPG of your 2.0 if you drive like crazy. In other words you´re ignorant

  • @luisinhoens90 to end this endless debate without getting technical. only americans like american cars. thankyou and goodnight

  • Hey kyle can you do a chevy volt?

  • Hey great video. Can u do a 2011 Ford Explorer please?

  • This is one amazing car. The beauty of the design still holds up strong today. Great find.

  • Hey Kyle, I got a quick question. in the beginning of the video next to the Lincoln I see a Camaro that looks like the same Camaro you had to jump off to get started in one of your previous start up vids. Is that the same one?

  • Front looks like a fish.

  • my dad had a 91 cougar v8 then traded it in for this i loved those cars i wish we still had them.

  • That Camaro is STILL there?

  • That was one very nice vehicle back then, even for a younger person

  • i love that crazy door dinger!!!!!!!!

  • Pretty decent coupe for an american from '98 but AWESOME idea Kyle for making 0-60 times around 4:18 , these type of information that that really imrpove the quality of your videos making it more professional ! You know what , if you need somebody to help you gather more performance informations (0-60 , Braking distance , Vmax etc ) i can do that ;)

Anyway nice video as always , You are definitely the youngest & best reviwer !

Ps: It's too cold outside for a green polo bud !

  • very sexy sound!!

  • That thing needs some work. Way too much potential to become a POS.

  • I can't tell if it looks like a big pink penis or a big pink vagina.

  • i like the pre-facelift one. it had a much more aggressive look...

  • This is the best looking Mark VIII i"ve seen in years...sounds GREAT

  • Probably the last true Lincoln other than the Town Car. All the Lincoln's now are just Fords with some rouge put on.

  • @TripleXXX8700 Lincoln's were always Fords where you been at. The Town Car was always the same thing as the Grand Marquis and Crown Vic. This car right here is related to the Thunderbird and Mercury Cougar.

  • fug.

  • I hope that Lincoln makes another great coupe soon.

  • how drunk or mentally unstable would you have to be to buy this scrap

  • @cupramac Bullcrap!!! It does need a little work, but come on now, it's NOT a total piece of scrap like you think it is.

  • Hey Kyle I am impressed with this car if possible could you do a driving video with it? the test drive

  • I think the 1996 Ford Explorer came with a JBL system

  • for 1998, this car is wicked high-tech. an automatic tilting AND telescoping steering wheel?? and home link? how could someone let a $40,000 car get this bad??

  • Really cool car, with a little work, esp. interior and polishing those headlamps it'll look pretty good. Thanks for including the original price as well as the original 0-60, nice info to include. Good video, and a really interesting find!

  • The trunk actually seals it self shut so u dnt have to close it

  • @rducks1 you still have to close it, you can't just push a button for it to auto close

  • @saabkyle04 Could you maybe upload a Ferarri Enzo? If you have one? :P

  • the 1993-1998 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC was assembled in

    Wixom, Michigan, USA

  • caan you do a Mercedes C63 AMG pleasee?

  • Oh God how can someone treat a great car like this that way :( If it was mine, I'd treat it like a diamond :p Very nice (and pretty rare?) car, americans do know how to make a good looking car!

  • I'm ashamed of the lack of care the irresponsible unappreciative owner that owned this.

  • Great vid as usual Kyle. I'm surprised though that you didn't mention one of the coolest features of this car -the entire trunk tail light is a one piece neon tube light! It looks incredible at night. =)

  • @Nightbird Yeah I did forget to mention that haha, one of the best parts for sure!

  • Why are the wipers stuck in that position?

  • @pzai222 the wiper motors went out and need to be replaced.

  • Great find, Kyle. Really striking styling.

  • im amazed at sum people how they treat there vehicles....its still a nice car I always loved the Mark VIII you think the owner or owners of it would keep it up. shame.

  • @Dalit5 That's my exact opinion. This was a UFO back in the day, and it would still be a great smooth and unusual car, but unfortunately, some people just don't know how to take care of stuff like this.

  • I remember thinking these things were gorgeous when they came out lol. Still a nice car and I'm sure it'll run fine with some maintenance, but I know those late 90's Ford products had serious wiring issues.

  • The interior is older need to change the seat covers. But it,s a nice car, i forget the cover of sun roof it,s older too.

  • thats the ugliest car ive ever seen

  • It kinda reminds me of a space shuttle on both the outside and in with the curvy-ness of it.

  • Man that was class back in 98, its still in decent shape for a 13 yr old car, just needs a good cleaning and a reupholstering of the driver seat.

  • This was a nasty and dirty car!

  • good old power house lincoln
