Studies have revealed humans tell their first lies at the age of 4/5. There are no studies for when we stop & sadly many never do. Latest studies indicate the average adult lies 15 times per day. Honesty is not a light switch. Speaking the truth is not always an easy task, but once the commitment is made honesty is not simply the best policy, it is the only sane policy. The short concise definition of insanity is rationalizing and justifying irrational behavior.

The issue isn't space/person. The issue is how we divide the Earth's finite biomass. Every human means less non-human. It is a zero sum game. The Earth functions due to biodiversity. We eliminate resiliency when we eliminate diversity. This is what caused the Irish famine.

Excellent response. People do not realize how dependent we are on the natural world. If it collapses, we collapse. We cannot survive without its myriad services and we can't make machines to replace honey bees or plankton. Humans, sadly, learn best when beset with calamity.
