@konafishlover no they arent they are being decimated by asians and their whaling and comercial market in sushi and other rare fish to simply just eat them so gtfo and stfu
I was thinking about starting a reef tank. I know its expensive but I've saved up a few thousand dollars and wanted a 125 gallon one. I just was curious though do coral require live rock to be connected to?.. Can you like put them in said or is the live rock have nutrients they need to survive. Or is it just like the stability of being attached to rocks that they need? Great tank by the way! Emperor fish are my favorite to look at.
hey i also have a 125 gallon salt water aquarium and i am wanting to put coral/anemones in there but i am not sure how many watts of light i need for it. i am asking you because i noticed that you had a couple of corals and anemones in there.
looks more like a 75g tank to me; i just don't understand why people brag about the size of their tanks? just say it as it is. A 125g is much longer than this. it measures at least 6ft long. this tank looks like it measures 4ft long and 24in deep x 22 tall. but nice tank though
very nice tank. well done for the work you have put in. I'm a reefie to and would like to share a video of my tank with others. see it on here at: "marek's reef aquarium" :-)))
anyone answer this ? if you can or send it in my inbox im getting a 120 gallon saltwater tank and which angel has more personality or which do you prefer the majestic angel or blue face angel thanx
@RaffleReefer10 i got a 220 instead with a French angel and a Passer angel, as of a week ago both my angels got cloudeye/ popeye in their right eye. if had them for 2 years. any thoughts?
How long has the tank been setup? Appears to be only a few months. You have lots of room to place frags all over the rock. In a year it will look great!
Hey i have a 110g tank and i plan on putting (2) 2-3inch lion fish in it, now i know they are poisinous but only bother fish that are smaller then they are...any ideas on onther fish i should sock it with?...any1 can reply back to me if theyd like
i wanted to wrap up and say beautiful chioce i will have to try it myself, i have a bicolor angelfish and coperband butteryfly fish but their smaller in size but still ill still try it
its a giant risk having an emperor angel in your tank but u r really smart for doing trial and error thats the only way to know if it will work or not. don't let the fish shop owner or workers tell you it will not work 100% unless that particular emperor is one in a billion that will never hurt anything.
im setting up a saltwater tank and I was wondering if I can use the same filter I used for my fresh water tank (the fresh water tank is down) or do I need a special salt water filter.
well i had alot of problems when i got the fish 3 and and half years ago but i tried everything and finally got him eating shrimp and now he will eat everything just try and see now im giving spectrum and he loves it dont worry he will it, took me like one week or something like that before he started eating i was freaking out and now i cant stop him gooooo luck.
If You clen it every other day ur rock is nice. All u have to do is wave ur hand in front of ur rock and corals and all of the junk comes off. And change ur filter cartrage(spell ?) every week. And clen ur whole filter out every month. Thats what I do and my tank is perfect. I dont have a veideo camara but I'm getting one in May and I can show u a vid. I have a 46 bow reef tank. If u have any ?'s just ask me. -Austin
nice emperor, you might want to keep a close eye on him in later years because he will probably eat your remaining corals, unless you feed him at least 4 times a day
He hasn't bothered the corals shown, we did however used to have a polyp and a brain. He ate the polyp and we traded the brain for the mushroom. He is really like a puppy dog and hides unless he sees us in the room.
how do you make the angelfish reef safe?
dablive1 5 months ago
@dablive1 You can't they eat most corals apart from sps and very poisonous soft corals

Over 80% of fish are taken from the wild, using destructive practices.

Not cool. Coral reefs are being decimated by fish collectors for aquariums.
Saltwater tanks are death for fish and destruction for the environment.
