The transceiver is a single conversion design with an IF of 4.9152 MHz thus possibiities for other bands. The LO (extended VXO) for this radio is operating at 19.1 MHz and produces USB. The filter favors LSB thus putting the radio on 80M presents some "opportunities". There are no plans to make this a kit but a second prototype (possibly employing SMD for a smaller version yet) is in the works for 17or 15M. An article on the project is in progress.
