many thanks for your comment!! Well...the price of the Suhr..I think this will remain a secret... :-) I can only tell you, that the price increased since 2000...
many thanks for you comment. The guitar you hear is the Suhr Serial No. 1221 (pictured in the slide show) through a Soldano SLO-100 and EVM-12L speakers with a Vox Wah set fixed as filter.
@super8swiss Mark still uses Soldanos on many Dire Straits classics and his solo work. He and Eric Clapton first purchased the SLO-100 in 1987.
Eric stopped using the SLO-100s in favor of the '57 tweed Twin in 1994/95.
The SLO-100 is perhaps the most successful tube/valve guitar amp Michael Soldano ever built. It's chiefly responsible for Clapton's late 1980's/early 1990s records (Journeyman/24 Nights) and the Dire Straits stuff from that period.
I didnt know that I not only had a great Chemistry teacher but also a musician,,, Respect :D see you next thursday :)

Phantastic sound and perfect playing. It´s a shame that you´re not doing it anymore! A comeback would be great!
