@preech2005 the thing is that you must have upgraded your ds firmware. kind of like the ipod, when it's firmware is 4.1 you can jailbreak it which means you have to downgrade it. what u need to do is manually restart your ds to its original settings. i cant really explain this, just type how to manually restart your ds or dsi on youtube. after u restart it, your ds will read the card. it worked for me, im not guaranteering that it will work for you but it wont hurt to give it a try :)

@562gamefreak562 1st: It depends on your budget. If you want a cheap flashcard with good compatibilty, buy the acekard 2i. If you've got a bit more money to spend, go for the supercard DSTWO or the new Cyclo DSi (which can play dsi homebrew and can use the camera and so on)

second: It is good for casual gaming, but if you're playing the latest games and want good support, don't. I suggest the Acekard 2i or one of the others.

@andydo2007vietnam Neither can play dsi homebrew or use any of the DSi features. There are only a couple of cards capable of doing that. Acekard 2i had got better compatability with games on AKAIO, R4i isn't supported as well. The acekard is also firmware update proof (it can be updated) whilst the R4i isn't.

@andydo2007vietnam If you update your DSi, the R4i gets blocked, because it cant be updated. The acekard can be updated, and will work after the update. Your R4i won't.

@andydo2007vietnam 1st: there are some steps you need to take. You need to have a dsi on 1.3 or lower, or a ds(lite) to update it. it won't block your acekard if you update it, neither will nintendo.

R4 is as easy to use as the acekard.

This vid is just a bit outdated now, everybody should know that the R4i blocker of today is the version 1.4.1 not 1.4 which I have on my Dsi and my R4i SDHC works perfectly. If you have an R4i which is version 1.4 on a 1.4 DSi then you will be ok, if u have 1.4 R4i on version 1.4.1 DSi then you are screwed and will have to buy the new R4i card.

@kenzokon: Maybe that MUST. Some flashcards block their OWN icon to get acces to the DSi's firmware. This is made so that the DSi can't recognize it is a flashcard. Like the acekard: That one has a picture of a Danny Phantom game, so the DSi didn't recognize that is was a AceKard 2i.

There are many other R4's working on 1.4 right now. R4i-ultra, Hyper R4i, and some others as well. R4i gold used to ship a card, that wasn't updatable. This card will work on 1.4, but when V1.5 comes out, it probably will be blocked again.
