  • I have a Tattoo. I started hating it 3 weeks after buying it. It doesn't really have the performance to handle being a smartphone at all... It's really slow, and every single app you might want to use will lagg... Hell even the menus are lagging quite bad at some points... (i.ex: sometimes when you write on the keyboard, it gets stuck, and the phone thinks that you were holding the button for several seconds, when in reality you just tapped it...)

  • Although this phone dont have GPU the performance isnt that bad

  • htc sucks ass hol!!!!!!

  • Look like u8150

  • I actually hate mine. I'm a big texter and have about 6000 texts, with that plus music and a small amount of apps the phone has slowed down totally, I've had 4 others shipped to me because the last 4 broke... don't get it.

  • Can you download apps on this phone? Like, Angry Birds ?

  • @ikku10 yes

  • @ikku10 no you can't. I have it and it SUCKS. I'm buying the Samsung Galaxy S II :D

  • @ikku10 yes you can

  • @ikku10 Yes you can. But don't expect good performance, it WILL be laggy, no matter what game you play.

  • wow, that sucks

  • HTC 'TUTTOOO' :P

  • i am unable to zoom camera..please guide me how to zoom while taking photos..

  • can you get apps for it

  • @TheFinemus It does have WiFi. However it does not have Bluetooth.... o.O

  • worst screen ever

  • damn right

  • I promise you guys, this phone is better than Iphone.

  • What kind of name is tattoo for a phone

    Just wondering

  • @ProudiPhoneOwner It's name Tattoo Because it was basically made for teens...& it's better than the iPhone...& The Apple company is trying to put the Android system in iPhone.. (:

  • why did they take away the dpad in the new phones

  • Hte the way he says.. "TATOOOOooo.." :/

  • I've Got HTC Tattoo.. & it's An Amazing Phone ! :)

  • It's really hard to type on it! I want a new phone!

  • @MsXkyokoX

    lol its not

  • Haych ti si tutew

  • HTC tattoo got a lovely design.

    IPhone ugly brick.

  • Mine has already crashed 5 times

  • It's been proven, PhoneArena, hates all phones.

  • Haych-tee-see. ugh.

  • I've got the phone. In the beginning, it was a great phone, okay you know, not as good as the other phone but okay. But with time, it began to be really really slow at everything, and the screen got less and less sensitive. And the funny part is, I didn't even download that much on it. It just isn't as durable as the other phones:/ And I'm talking 6 moths here..

  • @emobunny2612 i have exactly the same problem as you :D but im going to buy aria(Gratia in Denmark) :D

  • i like!! it is nice!

  • @snowdjagha it sucks, it has a resistive touch screen.

  • @Gmod10man but a good one. did you ever touch one? yeah it doesnt have multi-touch but it's a good screen.

  • @snowdjagha i dont like htc. ive used their phones and i hate it.

  • this mobile is wannabe xperia x10....

  • This or S.Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro?

  • i watch these reviews for the voices.

  • fuck hate his voice

  • Why do you talk about the negative things about it !! talk about the positive things!! BORAT"!

  • thanks dude now i know that this is the same thing like a htc legend or desire just a bit smaller lol,

  • how much is this in GBP?

  • @brotheryusuf1 saw it in cash genrators for 99.97 quid. so its probably around that :)

  • Should i get this or magic?

  • @Gust0561

Get the magic, It has a capacitive touchscreen and I think it can update officially to 2.1, Also, it has a higher screen resolution so more apps will be available.

  • Getting this one tommorow, hope it's nice.

  • @JohnMartinV I have had it for 3 months now, and like itx

  • @lipglosscandyfloss Ive had it for 3 days now, it rocks.

But the back cover is a pain in the ass to get open.

  • I was willing to buy iPhone, but when my friend (who bought it) told me it's bad in segments I wanted to use, I turned to Tattoo - and it's good :)

  • nice camera btw

  • Can you put the app layar on this?

  • After 3 weeks of using HTC Tattoo i declare myself very satisfied. I couldn't made a better choice comparing Tattoo with other phones with almost the same price tag. It is fast, the touch screen is very responsive, the gps is working excellent, the sound quality during a call is great, not as the guy here says. I have installed a lot of useful apps from android market (rss, gps, web, conversions, curency, games, etc). I recommend this phone.

  • Me and my friend where arguing about who have the best phone, she's got an iPhone and i've got a HTC Tattoo. I actually like my Tattoo more, so did our third friend. ^_^ It's way more personal.

  • super

  • you just were talking shit and barley said anything good

  • You can write a kids hear both hands on that phone? because the screen does not seem so great

  • What touchschreen would you recommend?

  • Bought mine yesterday. All I can say is: Where have you been all my life? I love this phone. Thank you HTC and Google!!

  • I agree with Dolan42. This phone is amazing. I bought mine for €210, and it was worth it!

  • At the end does he mean the Touch 2 ?

And also does anyone know if the htc phones purchased in Hong Kong can be used here in Canada using English and the Canadian/US setting or requirements and what not ?

  • Resistive is cheaper than capacitive. Some people prefer the trade-off in favor of the price; I know I do.

  • now tell me, HTC Touch2 , or HTC Tattoo ?

  • @XHardXStylesX i think tattoo but thats just because its got andriod and touch 2 has windows phone

  • @XHardXStylesX samsung star wifi

  • For me, I Think that this is a perfect phone for me! I am looking for an android smartphone but it have to be cheap.

  • Hey, have a question: when you write a message you can see only one line of text? :\\ I was interested in buying this phone, but this disadvantage makes me think about it very seriously, because I usually write long messages, and if I could see only one line of my text, it would make me feel really uncomfortable and cramped :\

Also, what about battery life? I heard that it takes only one day :\

  • how much is it?

  • Dude, I only understand like half of what you're saying..

  • what did he say? 1:26 haces book? what is that ?

  • @styleseller06 facebook

  • which one is the best ? htc tattoo / touch2 or touch diamond 2?

  • can you flip the phone 90 degrees when you are sms'ing and then the screen will flip with it? like on the magic?

  • @zarkiin yes you can

  • @zarkiin yes, tattoo has that option.

  • @zarkiin Yes :)

  • Can you watch videos on websites, like using 'Adobe Flash player' and stuff???

  • does it have the stic for the screen and mp4

    need to know fast!!!!!!

  • does it have the stick for the screen and mp4

    need to know very fast!!!

  • I've had my HTC Tattoo for 28 hours now and I love it. Sure, its small, but thats good for battery life and I dont find many issues at all, biggest issue is me, I'm not used to touch screens, never had such a phone before. I choose this because I'm a big fan/supporter av open source and linux :) Its fast, and does its job very well :) I havent figured out how to kill apps yet tho, start to get alot running after a while :P

  • 0:29 You need to PUSH the backpanel down (towards the phone) then up. No special force needed to remove it.

  • I'd heard you must touch the HTC with your finger a little harder than at a Hero, and you gcan get a pen to the Tattoo, is it right? Please comment.

  • yes it is a resistive touchscreen instead of a capacitive

resistive works with 2 layers and when they are pushed down on the layers connect and the phone knows where you want to click only works with your finger because is functions by the transfer of electrons from your finger to the screen

    a capacitive

  • thanks borat

  • HTC Hero and Motorolla Droid have been liked in the reviews ..

  • I really like your Reviews ! =) 5*

  • Great phone. Just a shame the resolution spoils the experience some... would hvga really have cost that much more?

  • is it worth to buy? thinking of.

  • great phone

    well done htc

the greatest phones are htc hero, the magic and the g1

  • HTC resistive is very well done. you hardly notice the difference with a Capactive touch screen. But the lack of double touch capability is the real limit of a resistive touch screen. Shame... With a little more effort and a capacitive t.s. this phone could easily compete with both its big brother Hero and Iphone.

  • I profer this device to the HTC Hero. Although technically the hero is a better device the style of this device i profer. It is much comfier to hold and use than the hero. The android market isnt as good on tattoo as the hero but overall that doesnt bother me. This phone for the price is brilliant I would definetly recomend it.

  • ita a phone me a freind , me name is a borat

  • Where is Borat?

  • 1080p video <3....oh and nice review =P

  • The tattoo is actually an amazing phone. I just wish people would appreciate it for what it is (a budget android smartphone), and not compare it to other android devices like the Hero. If the Hero never existed, you would think it was a great phone, it's just a "disappointment" because there's something better on the market.

  • Personally i prefer resistive. I like this phone.

  • why? Capacitive screens are superior to resistive when i comes to responsiveness and ruggedness. The only advantage resistive screens really have is the ability to use something else than your finger. But who wants to use stylus anyway? :-)

  • I agree, I don't understand the (ahem) resistance to resistive screens. They have the advantage of being able to use a stylus (or more likely your finger nail) on small buttons or when using the key pad.

  • Also, with regard to the app market, I haven't found any apps that I want that arn't available. Also, it's a relatively new format so it will only be a short time before popular apps are updated to support the tattoo. The major drawback (for me) is the lack of flash and auto focus. QR codes for example are difficult to capture with this device. OW, its a great phone.

  • I am using the HTC Touch Pro2, my friend has an iPhone. My Touch Pro2 is actually nicer to use than the iPhone because you can run your finger over the screen without it doing anything and as soon as you want to do something just push a lil bit harder. The iPhone i find myself accidently pushing buttons when trying to type.

Yes, i am used to resistive but its FAR more accurate.

  • nice review

  • it's a economical version of HTC Hero, if u r low on budget it is quite a good option

  • resistive ? wow. major drawback.

  • which one better this or htc touch 2

  • the tatto is better of course ... android is way ahead of Winmo

  • tattoo :D

  • Phone all right completely, but for small display in my opinion a bit.

  • HTC is really stepping up its game from the high end Touch Pros to Heroes to units like the Tattoo.
