  • This is awesome. A Youtuber meet up in AZ. Too bad it's a bike-vlog meet up.

  • @LA2Charlie anyone is welcome. :)

  • 99% sure ill be there.

  • @MOTORonin awesome! :)

  • Hey Rebelyell91 Im new to bike riding and i been watching you since i desided i was going to ride and i want to show up to the meet ups im in tempe but i dont vlogg yet is that a requirement for the meet up or do we just have to be a rider

  • @daking310 anyone is welcome. :)

  • MikeOfKorea has some good advice about the intro. I like to create an intro that poses a question to the reader to make it interesting. Also, a myth, a quote, or common beliefs about lane splitting might make a good intro. Wish I could ride with ya'll but its good to know that there are people out there who take the time to organize rides for others.

  • I was talking to my father about this, he's been an avid street bike rider for 40+ years, he claims that lane splitting was essential to keep bikes from overheating in slow traffic (due to most bikes being air cooled), even today engine cooling for many bikes is inadequate for extended periods of slow cruising. I just thought you may want to research this idea further and include it in your paper.

  • I'll be there.

    AZ!!

  • I should be there, i actually got that saturday off.

  • @havedogwillscooter lol saw it :P

  • See ya there ride safe

  • WOW I don't remember the last time I had to write a paper. Include the part where Reload escapes death by using the space between lanes to escape the old lady texting in her BMW. The longer you are out there standing around the greater the risk of not being seen!

  • @Itsreload great input thanks Reload! :)

  • How does lane splitting improve safety? If that's a weak premise, you might want to remove the phrase "and safety" in your thesis sentence. The "efficiency of transportation" section sounds like a trucking company mission statement. You might want to consider a verb phrase here, something like "...Arizona, traffic will move more freely and thereby more efficiently..." or something like that. Action reads better than noun phrases. Good luck! I envy all you guys and your meet ups and rides!

  • @MikeOfKorea thanks for the suggestions! :)

  • @MikeOfKorea

people are gonna lane split weather or not it's legal, and if it is made legal, drivers will be more aware of it, and less likely to change lanes into a biker.

  • I'm not sure word for word a good intro would be. However, a good intro might be to tell an interesting story about lane splitting, to reference your experience or to try to appeal to pathos. If done efficiently you can both draw the reader in and and show your credentials on the subject. By appealing to pathos I mean there emotions, no one likes waiting in traffic so you could perhaps show how legalizing it will reduce traffic. Are you guys just going to SD or anywhere else in California?

  • @Dogfacerawr We plan to have a meetup in SD next year (maybe in April or something)

  • I would start it with an experience as your intro.. something to show a prime example that supports your point and puts the reader in your position... just a thought.

  • @kary1982v6 Great idea thanks! :)

  • I like that you're actually taking action against Anti-Lane splitting people! :)

  • and for ur paper good luck haha you could write how CA is the only state witch has it and a lot of countrys outside of USA can so why not the whole USA be able to and how it could save time in commuting to school work and such
