I gont det it, how come my Play sucks at all the snes, sega and gba games? It gives me a crackling and a very unsmooth sound when i set the frameskip to 0. Is there anything special you did with them to make them run better?

@linkandzelda137 your play is either faulty or you have overloaded the memory with apps, reset your phone to factory settings and try if it works, if it doesnt bring it back to the store. You should get a new one.

Snes sega and gba run perfectly with perfect sound on mine, without doing anything to fix

I am in the mood to beat in Punch Out and Tekken 3 again. This the dream phone for real gamers. Xperia Play may not be the best choice when it comes specs. But it is the only choice when it comes to playing classic games on your phone.

People seem to be worried that putting emulators on this phone is going to be somehow difficult. Well I can tell you people it's a doddle. Android Market is available at the tap of an icon, simply browse to your emulator of choice and tap "install". It really couldn't be easier. All the emu's have configurable controls too. Stop fretting and get one. Today.

it runs fine on mine but was a bit laggy this morning. to fix that just turn the off then back on to sorta give it a little soft reset and it went back to working fine :)

And technically PSN isn't fully restored seeing how the store is still down. No MK9 online! :( It's a very sad time for PS3 users. @Jungelungen The phone should be capable of overclocking. SE has decided to give developers access to the bootloader on the unlocked versions of the xperia play. Once we have root, it's just a matter of creating a custom kernel for an overclock. It's obvious that an overclock would overall improve the performance of emulators, as for the Zelda lag thing, that's more of an issue with the emulator rather than the Phone. I'm sure the developer of N64oid will improve things slowly to improve gaming
