Hey newegg... why did dylanstout win the Idol prize? My video has a higher rating than his does.

Its a combo of stars and views.. he had 3k+ views.

yeah, but if you read the official rules, it says "The Idol (Audience Vote) Prize will be awarded to the video with the highest rating, which

can be up to 5 stars, plus the total number of ratings given on YouTube." It has nothing at all to do with the number of views, but number of ratings. This means that they chose the person with the highest rating first, then look at the number of ratings, not views.

I understand that he has more views than I do, but the Idol prize has NOTHING to do with total views AT ALL. It is purley based on the highest rating, and the number of RATINGS, not views. It says so in the official rules.

Hi cmd472!! And congrats on your prize!! You are correct, the idol prize was based on rating and votes. As of Friday you guys both had 4 stars, however you came in at 136 ratings and dylanstout had 146. The top score was fopat3 with 4.5 stars. Sooo close though!!!
