@xRePenTzZ This patch is made specifically for the alterIW version of the game; that is what it was designed for, though it seems to work on the Steam version, too. You have to be the host of the game in order for the patch to take effect - if you are not the host, the patch will have no effect and the game will be normal.

@shadowjeff18 I have only tested it on alterIW, but some people have said that it works on the Steam version as well. I assume that you would need to enable the console in the Steam version in order to execute the IWD files, and you would also need to create a "mods" folder in your MW2 directory.

@adammccormick95 You can't use the patch.ff files like on the PS3 and Xbox. You have to extract and port the .GSC files to PC and then compile them into an IWD file, which is essentially a renamed .zip file. The only real work is porting the patches.

The "mc1337sauce" needs to be changed to the name of the folder that has the V2 or V3 patch in it. The console code essentially tells MW2 where to look for the mod and to load it, and the "mods/mc1337sauce" points to the "mc1337sauce" folder inside the "mods" folder that is inside the MW2 directory.

@Lickhead21 The menu functions are not bound to specific keys, but are rather bound to specific functions. If you changed the MW2 controls and one of the ones you changed is one of the CL menu controls, just use the new key that you assigned instead of the one listed in the readme.

Hey, looks good! But how do I download alterIW? I've tried to download the torrent via utorrent and I get like 40 seeds, but it says the time for it to be finished is around 8weeks, I left it on for hours and not even .% had finished. It's my first time using uTorrent so I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong. Any help would be amazing.

@mjtravers4 You could try opening your router's ports to allow uTorrent traffic. Just google search it and you will be able to find a tutorial. If that doesn't work, then your ISP is either very slow or throttles torrent traffic. If that's the case, you may be able to find a direct download link, though I have never seen one.
