@wouldbeawesome i second that. You cant possibly compare Hillsong to Nazism...When did Hillsong confess their hate for the Jews, or anyone for that matter?
I know..I'm so excited that the labor party's error in giving this guy their preferences will finally be rectified..
No more semi illiterates holding the balance of power...
The family first party is the same one that had "pastor" Danny Nalliah as a candidate who said the Victorian Bushfires were Gods retribution for liberalizing the abortion laws and that you could not be saved if you voted for Julia Gillard..truly dangerous people to have in power...
I'm glad i'm a spiritual Satanist because i am freed by reason and tolerance for anyone else's beliefs. I'll be throwing firebombs in the street if the fundamentalists ever take over (or if anyone actually starts to take their hateful lies seriously).
In reality these religious zealots represent the values and views of a tiny minority of Australia society, which is why they hide the fact they're "Our Christian Mates First", not "Family First". The sooner these wolves in sheep's clothing are exposed and rendered extinct, the better for society and all our futures ultimately. Religion is grown ups believing in Santa Claus, it has no place in our political system whatsoever. Let's not let these evil fuckers turn us into the U.S.
Thats kinda funny, that someone can take little tidbits without understanding and looking at a whole to twist it into whatever they want it to look like. You can post pictures of people holding there hands in salute to Hitler, unfortunately they dont even compare to the ones of people in the church. Lifting your hands to God is slightly different than lifting them to a human. Good job on that one.
last time i checked the labor party has a pretty similar religious position in regards to same sex marriage as family first.
secondly, fielding actually has no come across as a voice of religious extremism. can you please tell me which bill he has put forward in the senate calling for homosexuals to be gassed?
i dont even like family first but calling them fascists is an immature political statement. it is no different to someone saying that kevin rudd is a communist who wants to set up GULags
Yes . . . and what will liber8me think when say, moslems get into parliament? Will he be down with their "democratic right" to spout off their bullshit too?
Like most of us, liber8me loves democracy when it suits their argument.
It's simply not sustainable to base the running of a nation on notions predicated by fairy stories.
I dont agree with the Nazi symbolism, but the religious right is gaining ground in Australia, and needs to be bought into heel. They offend thinking Australians everywhere by their very existence.
FYI...Raising hands is a form of worship to our God the Father, not to a person like the Nazi's did. Almost all Christians do this. While I know you are trying to compare the Hillsong Church and the Nazi's, you are also intern putting down all Christians who worship this way.
All christians do not raise their hands in this way..
Its only Charismatics that push this and If you look there is no image or symbol of God what so ever in these churches..Its the "minister" they are raising their hands to..The church leader dont just happen to be in the way of the sign of worship..they are the symbol of worship they encourage the followers to bow down to..
@hillsongchurch I did say almost all, not all raise hands. Most traditional Baptists, Episcopalian, and others do not. When Christians raise their hands, most have their eyes closed and look up to the heavens. Others kneel on their knees. I am just trying to say it is a form of worship. Quick disclaimer, I do not attend Hillsong Church. I attend a non-denominational church.
mate i dislike the religious right but this video is just absurd. comparing family first to the nazis is just plain immature and ignorant. by the way - who said the religious cannot get involved in politics? do you know what democracy is? it means the person who has the majority of support gets elected. banning someone from going into politics because of their religion is so incredibly undemocratic its you who should be compared to the nazis, not fielding.
The FFP was initially made up exclusively of Assembly of God ministers and elders.. They dont get any more right wing than that..And their intolerances and bias are just below the surface..
The references to the Nazis are based on them both parties:
Both having leaders that claim divine authority.
Both have cited violence as a method of dealing with minorities they dont like.
really thats funny because fielding has not come across as a voice of religious extremism. he has not called for homosexuals to be killed. he tends to focus more on economic issues,
on what basis do you assume that these groups have anything to do with fascism? you said "given enough power" what a load of crap, thats just you making shit up.
laws made by people with religious beliefs? I'm an atheist and while I'll probably oppose a lot of socially conservative laws I still recognize that fact that for some people their ethics are based on their religion and denying them their voice would be undemocratic.
obviously so long as they do not blatantly discriminate against sections of the community, but we have a constitution which is designed to protect the minority. besides if you were to ban people from politics because of their religious beliefs well there's rudd gone for a start.
firstly people who are not even theists have grave concerns about euthanasia - its opening up our most vulnerable members of society up to abuse.
next, labor or liberal will not stop subsiding public schools because it SAVE THEM MONEY. it costs the government half per private school student what they would be paying if they were sending them to a public school.
firstly i doubt you would find hardly any christians who want to kill homosexuals anymore. those were from thousands of years ago. secondly, in a democratic society anyone should be eligible to run for public office but if their legislation was deemed unconstitutional then it would be struck down.
yeah i went through the whole massive antitheistic phrase a few years ago and there comes a point where you realise that some people get their ethics from a certain places and one of them is religion and we have to take those views on board because at the end of the day thats democracy.
Well of course. The definitional difference between our detested Cults, and organised religion, is no more then age and popularity. All of them tell you stay away from family and friends not indoctrinated, all expect your money and unquestioning allegiance, all use you to perpetuate themselves, so on and etc etc. NO religion, or special consideration for religion, belongs in the political sphere. The West learnt it's lesson in the englightenment, lets not unlearn it.
Oh well. We got Steve Fielding even though only 2,000 were brain dead enough to vote for him.
Now the whole nation has to wear this dumbass who can't even understand a well established, robust dataset, can't come to grips with critical analysis, existential reality or hard evidence and so he can't accept global warming.
However, he easily accepts a 6,000 year old earth and an invisible magic man, fairy tale "miracles" and a "devil" without any evidence. What an asshole.
You're reeeealllly worried enough to hunt down a precise figure at 2:00 am LOL.
"those dickheads in the labor party preferenced him" Part of my theme. Our system needs more contemplation and a bit of work to ensure that we are properly represented.
The video - a little over the top granted - raises a good point: That religion, which is increasingly infesting our politics, has no place there.
This video is just plain dumb. a christian who was just as stupid as the maker could make a video attacking secularism based on the actions of stalin. over the top examples don't prove anything.
you say that religion has no point in politics - you realise what democracy is right? that ANYONE can get elected if they have enough support. banning someone from being elected just because of their religion is so undemocratic we might as well be in communist china.
Temporal differences aside, you keep agreeing with me and then attempting to be belligerent.
It happens to be my opinion that it's perfectly valid to howl down anyone who craps on about religion in the realm of politics. I'm as entitled to an opinion as you are sport.
Meanwhile waste somebody else's time with your childish YouTube arguments.
I contacted Family First party last year to complain about the sexual adds now on late night Australian Tv, im still waiting for a reply, ask yourselves this question ,they are now in a position of some power and why hasnt the pentacostal Family First Party not even brought up this issue in Government. Do you think we Australians want to see teenage girls slutting themselves all over our tvs. Why didnt they even write back to me.
You Australians must want it because if people were not responding to the ads then those who make them would stop making them and airing them and would instead air something that people would respond to better.
That's how free market works-- if the ads are still on, the target demographic is responding to them.
but if its about hillsong then I see were you are coming from. They are a break away group that have different interpretations. sometimes deadly interpretations. but not all religion is like that. I know of a cathiloc family that are the nicest people i've met. I have friends who are athiest and they are open to what I believe and I am to them. but the underline is dont judge the group (mainstream or what ever its called), judge the individual (break aways)
"you can try the victim line if you want..its about the seperation of church and state" nice try. I'm not trying the 'victim line' I didnt know you saw it that way. The seperation from my P.O.V: the denial of a religious persons right into politics. hows that sound? I like how fast you responded. kudos on that. if you show videos of a group and compare them to images of Nazi rallies then people will get that idea.
BTW I'm not a crusader just cos its in my name its due to "that name is taken"
This is revolting! I mean come on! If you want to make a hateful statement against religion do it with a legit title instead of spewing this shit out. "oh, religious people are nazis" so what if hitler was religous it doesnt mean that it reflects the real values of religion. we are all capable of genocide (given the position of power and messed up frame of mind!). hell, richard dawkins could be capable of genocide if he was in politics since he gets away with almost anything!
this has nothing to do with christians being nazis...but you can try the victim line if you want..
its about separation of church and state..
whether you like it or not ..Hitler claimed divine authority to murder millions and Hillsong is trying everything to influence politics from starting the family first party to taking over the New South Wales (state in Australia)liberal party..
They are a dangerous cult and shouldnt have political power..
So giving God praise is the same as proclaiming allegiance to Hitler. How disgusting and sad that whoever did this video doesn't have a clue! Unbelievable!!!!
hmm maby the millions of people who sing the Hillsong music in the own church and the millions of people who lissen to music must be wrong about Hillsong.......
Australia is an ass. They say Canada is dangerous with ice , large forests and terrorists and discourage tourism . WTF ? There weren't terrorists here since the 70's (separatists) and what do you expect about the climate and geography ! It's cold in the winter. Meanwhile I see the add with the skimpy teenage girl saying " Where the bloody hell are you ?" (meaning to come to australia .
Hey we have lots of things that can kill you here:
6 of the top 10 most poisonous snakes
3 of the most poisonous spiders
the top 2 jellyfish
not to mention crocodiles and sharks
We're really not scared of a few rabid squirrels, moose or bears.
Canada's own travel warning about Australia refers to a doc written by our own Govt. with 33 pages of warnings and a whole page dedicated to terrorist attack..
For all the reasons below, and so many more, Family First MUST be driven out of politics as soon as possible. Religion (Money making Christian nuts in this case) has absolutely no place in politics. I find it worrying enough the amount of religion in The major political parties' leaders as it is.
I will vote 1 for whoever takes away the tax-exempt status of religious organisations too.
Wait a second, just because I believe in GOD and my LORD JESUS I can`t partake in what is legally mine to do? You take away my rights because I believe?? The separation of church and state was never meant to say that I cannot (as a believer) partake in government. Look at it now? I would want more solid men and women involved. I find it troubling that people actually think like you.
Clearly no one who commented here has ever studied political theory or any history for that matter.Bet the bloke who put this vid up thinks he s cool though!!I'm not a fan of Hillsong at all-I think they've taken Christianity&manipulated it to reconcile money making with salvation. Ok they r off the mark but comparing them to Fascists is laughable. If this were intended as a groundbreaking discovery I'd say ur a little astray but if its a joke then I'd say great vid
I very much agree with all of the below comments. The family first party is a mark on out nation which must be removed. They are a disasterous political party standing up for what? Burning lesbians at the stake? Its discusting to see a party like this even get a vote.
I hope that we are rid of this party when Election Day comes along, then we can be rid of these exremists, and hopefully never have another political party like this ever again in our free nation.
Lots of Occultic symbolism on their little banner with the facsimile of the popish Dagon priest headgear and the five pentagrams. This Hillsong group is obviously a cult group with an underlying Luciferian theology mixed in with a thin facade of Christianity.
The Family First party came from nowhere back 2002 when the president of the "Assemblies of God" church was elected to local parliament in South Australia. (The current president is Brian Houston)
In the 2004 Federal election they ran candidates Australia wide. Almost all were AOG and most were "pastors"
They achieved a total of 235,315 votes(less than 2% and less then the membership of AOG which is around 250,000)
3. Australia is still a country relatively free of extremist religious influence and that is why when groups like FFP come along they stand out no matter how many time they try to repeat the lie: "secular party"
Think again about coming here..peaceful, no common borders with any country hence little threat.. and a long way away from most of the troubles..
We need more people like you to vote out the little annoying right wing religious extremist when they try to gain influence
I can't believe this is happening in Australia also. I thought Australia was cool. Had thoughts of moving there to escape the Fascism in the United States. Fascism is simply the powers of government religion and commerce coming together in cooperation and acting as one. Fascism is the Beast of the Book of Revelation in the Christian Bible.
australia is cool, however in every country you have retarded fuckholes who like to get together and sing religious songs while waving their hands in the air and crying occasionaly all because that they cant believe that when you die.. THATS IT YOUR DIRT..
o1nktasm: I just hope these religious fascists are not able to do what they accomplished in the United States by getting George W. Bush into office for two terms.
I'd agree with other commends klard in that I believe it's a good idea to reconsider. This whole "movement" thing is strong in places of Australia but it's not in-built into the culture like it unfortunately has been twisted to be in the U.S. Down Under, being un-Australian means not having a barbie, not having flip-flops on or letting down your "mate". Compare that with the social significance of "un-American". ;)

Democracy as you call it is being held by religious nutjobs inforcing their religious beliefs on the whole lot of us.
Religious freedom is one thing but laws based on religion or made by people with religious beliefs is another.
Where is my freedom from religion? it does not exsist.
Euthanasia / gay marriage these are things that will never get pased into law in a so called democracy.

And to allow them to make laws based on their religion or religious beliefs is undemocratic towards the rest of us isnt it?.
Religion is a personal belief .
It should stay in ones mind where it belongs and not forced on the population.

Voting against Gay marriage is blatantly discriminating against sections of the community.
Because the bible says marriage is between a man and a woman.
Suicide also a sin so we cant have euthanasia.
Politicions including rudd are allready discriminating against us because of the rules they want to live by and forcing it on us .
It dosent pay tax and takes millions in handouts for its so called private schools.
No one lives for free they need to pay tax and get out of politics.

They dont live by the so called good book
its rules state that homosexuals should be killed and breaking any of the ten commandments comes with the death penalty.
Where is the freedom in having rules forced upon you .
That is not freedom they must run the country for all of us and leave their religion out of it.
If they dont want to go to hell for buttfucking someone or suicide then dont do it, but dont tell me that i cant.
They can take the bible rules and shove them up their arse.

Saying Canada is dangerous and full of terrorists is almost as stupid as saying Australia is an ass.
The Aust Gov travel site has this warning:
"We advise you to exercise caution and monitor developments that might affect your safety in Canada because of the risk of terrorist attack."
Its the same warning (except the name changes) that most western countries get including the USA, England and most of Europe.

I contacted family First 2 years ago about the obscene sex adds on tv and what they would do about it and I never heard a word from them.

I have contacted them many times, they never return the calls. They are just lazy dont care about the people just want to control.

Yes as Jesus paid taxes so should His church I agree.

Very snazzy upmarket video, interesting use of the P.I.L song as it drives home your message to the viewing public.

Lots of Occultic symbolism on their little banner with the facsimile of the popish Dagon priest headgear and the five pentagrams. This Hillsong group is obviously a cult group with an underlying Luciferian theology mixed in with a thin facade of Christianity.

Hi klard
Thanks for the comment,
The Family First party came from nowhere back 2002 when the president of the "Assemblies of God" church was elected to local parliament in South Australia. (The current president is Brian Houston)
In the 2004 Federal election they ran candidates Australia wide. Almost all were AOG and most were "pastors"
They achieved a total of 235,315 votes(less than 2% and less then the membership of AOG which is around 250,000)

2. The Aust. voting system allows a party who did not get enough votes to win a particular seat to give a proportion of the vote to other candidates.
One of the Major parties (Labor Party) did a deal with the FFP because they never thought they would win but it gave them their first federal seat.
Hopefully it wont be repeated this election.

Compare that with the social significance of "un-American". ;)
