This is not propaganda. Sharks are endangered all over the world because people have a negative perception of them and because of finning for shark fin soup. The facts are: The flavor of shark fin soup does not come from the shark's fins. The fins are flavorless. And also, you are more likely to die of a lightening strike than a shark attack. They are integral to the marine ecosystem and are quite beautiful creatures when you see them scuba-diving.

What should this video prove?

They did not "throw themselves into the middle of feeding sharks" - they merely stand and pat the sharks as they feed on the dead whale. Had they thrown themselves into the water with the feeding sharks, and the sharks would have let the guys pet them then it would have been a different story.

These guys just used the fact that sharks have very limited vertical movement of their bodies. Therefore they could let go or just ignore the humans. Proves nothing.

I saw the part of the video where the people were perched on the whale, gingerly reaching out to touch the shark, well away from the mouth, and flinching whenever the shark moved. I missed the part of the video where the people actually fell or jumped into the water and were actually in a position of danger. While I cringed the entire time in anticipation of Darwin's judgment, it only happened in the narration.
