  • And how is that faster or less effort than naval jelly and scotch guard pad?

Seems like in the end you are doing all that scraping you claimed to avoid.

  • hmm, wonder if it works with cars ;))

  • Yes it does have an odor (yes I do realize that is an understatement.) However, if time is not an issue, it is not hard. Remember, patience begets patience.

  • Thats a lot of work, and stink!

  • A much better method for rust removal is electrolysis using washing soda, water, and a car battery charger.

Some videos are on youtube that show you how to do it, it's real easy.

  • I love this. Not only was it cool to see the rust come off, but it was done so naturally. Who needs products like CLR that probably cause cancer when you have potatoes? I'm going to check out your other videos, thanks a ton.

  • That's funny, water caused the rust but you keep putting more water on the pipe.

I wonder if when you ingest a potato it will chelate the body of heavy metals just like the chelation that is curing autism

  • Most disgusting smell in the world.Smells like nursing home full of patients with loss of bowel control after they had been fed cabbage, broccoli, turnip greens and pinto beans for dinner!!!

    Works great though!

  • It does smell disgusting, we admit. The trick, we found, was to open the container outside and hose off the work before bringing it into the shop. Most of the rust will wash away, but you have to thoroughly dry the metal and wipe it down with some light oil before it rusts again.

  • Very impressive -- although it does take two weeks!
