  • I'm a bit late in on this one, but have to say the Stratocaster sounds good, but the Telecaster sounds way far ahead of that particular strat. Maybe a USA v USA. or Mexico v Mexico would have been fairer. I have both listened to and played a Mexico Standard Strat v Mexico Standard Tele, and of the two I played the Telecaster was much nicer sounding. Nice sounds from both your guitars though. Thank you.

  • Dude. Just gotta say: This is fckin awesome. Imma learn this Song, too!

  • Strat sounded much better - a much more flexible sounding instrument!

  • telecaster.....<3

  • STRAT! DEFINITELY!!!!

But I wish you had compared US Strat to Mexican Strat!

You can hardly compare Teles with Strats. Different guitar types with different character!

Cool 'n' great video, dude!!! Well played! Loved to watch!

  • Strato*

  • Srato !!!

  • Telecaster is better than a strato its true has more sound

  • i like the strat more...in this song :)

  • might i say - you look more comfy playing the strat rather than the tele.

  • Telecaster! Fatter, more of a roung tone

  • which song are you playing?

  • @bboydiec Little wing by Hendrix

  • @bboydiec Its really the Stevie Ray Vaughn version of Little Wing.

  • where did you get the tabs ?

  • @vicxon100 I learning songs by myself without tabs, sorry

  • @TalkerWalker damn good!! nice job

  • It seems as the strat is giving more sustain, both sound great though, but i guess it´s because you´re a very good guitar player, I like the look of the tele, but in this video the strat won.

  • me gustan mucho las dos, pero un poco más la telecaster! muy buen sonido

  • I enjoyed the twang from the tele a bit more but for Little Wing the strat is more proper smoother flowing with pops in the right places. Kinda a tease really looking forward to the strat I am getting!

  • HAVE YOUR GUITAR HAS A CHEW GUM ON THE NECK JAJAJ

  • little wing in a jazzy version... like!

  • nice little wing man!

  • strat sounds more bright and clear. better for these songs, but then they were made by a guy who never played anything else

  • We must compare the solo riff at 1:40 and 4:02 for listen the reals differences

  • Tele won this one with the leads....

  • both guitars sound exactly the same.

  • @ANOTHERHOLEINYOHEAD you need to pay attention dude

  • STRAT! Stratocasters always win

  • Telecaster will always have more presence, Statocaster will always have clarity.

  • i found a tele most better in this song than a strat

  • Should a Telecaster song the Tele leads kicked Ass

  • JIMI! Little Wing

  • Hey guys, i really dont know that much about different types of elec. guitars but im interested in buying one (already have an acoustic) so what model/type by which brand do u suggest. my budget isnt very large and i also need a new amp. help me out here plz. i'd like to play some blues maybe but mostly rock/hardrock/prog.rock

  • @9letters2woorden A starters model could be a fender squire strat. Of course, after 10 years of playing or something you might want one more expensive when you really get into it, but I have been playing this guitar for 2 years now and it works for me. I would go for a stratocaster rather than a telecaster or les-pauls because stratocaster is something in between them. But apart from this all, go to a big shop with loads of them, you can always try them out for yourself before buying. Good luck!

  • @9letters2woorden The most important aspect of buying a new guitar is how it feels. Go to a guitar shop, play as many guitars as time allows, and your best bet would be the one that feels the best in your hands. As BuzzingFridge mentioned, the fender squire strat would be a good place to start. However, if you like rock and hardrock, you may want to look into the epiphone les paul; another great beginner electric

  • strat more feeling in solo

  • TELE!!!!!!!!!

  • telecasters has a realy great tone

  • STRAT!!

  • nice room

  • strato cries.. tele speaks.. i prefer the feeling of stratos!!

  • 100% Telecaster, it has unique sound. The Strat I was not sure the volume was the same (or even on), it has no character at all, total lackluster.

  • Man I love this song Jimi was awesome!! Good Cover!

  • TELECASTER !! Stratocaster is good , but i liked more of the telecaster

  • Sometimes the guitar doesn't really matter ass much as the hands. I wager this dude could do the same demo with a squier bullet and an Affinity tele and it would still sound good.

  • Stratocaster.

  • now both guitars were very nice and think about this..the mexican strat is a way cheaper model and was hanging with an american tele..and as far as metal on a strat or tele, believe me it can be done..dont under estimate these guitars..to me they are the most versitile guitars on the market..metal blues rock, funk r&b jazz have all been played on a fender...what other guitar do you know of that has acomplished that?

  • i kinda like the telecaster its got a smooth clean feel to it. Strat is nice too though.

  • Hey Little wing Jimmy Hendrix! recognized it from the first few accords!

  • strat solo was better

  • Stratalicious!

  • name song plis ;p

  • @MrKubas147 little wing - jimi hendrix

  • @gilrom1 : Thx :)

  • @joc69uk32 well metal sure isn't the first thing that comes to mind when i think a strat, or tele for that matter. i would say just about anything that doesn't require massive gain, for both guitars. i play punk on both strat and tele, and they both sound good. humbuckers are overrated.

  • @that1stupidkid613 I have a telecaster and it plays metal AWESOME, no prob man don't underrate it, its a beautiful guitar.

  • Comment removed

  • I'd have said the Telecaster is for clean blues and the Stratocaster is more for Metal

  • @joc69uk32 metal? i would say maybe hard rock and tele for classic blues and rock

  • @theLEWISization iron maiden use strats

  • @joc69uk32 they have metal pickups in them but standard strats aren't too metal unless you shove a distortion pedal in there

  • @theLEWISization they are jus about capable you could say

  • @joc69uk32 yes but not ideal, they aren't made for it

  • la telecaster lejos la mejor. suena lindo el peavey

  • Referensi bagus!

  • I would like to see what everybody would say if they didn't know where the guitars were made. I own a mim strat (1994) and I have a buddy with a mia strat (1978) and my strat feels and sounds better than his (imo).

  • i heard that mexican stratocasters are compared to SQUIERS, but in your video the strato sounded great! how much is it worth?

    great video!

  • @pedroo255 The amp matters quite a lot to the sound, this guy has a decent valve amp for the clean sound. MiM strats are compared to squiers because they are often of similar quality but without "fender" on the headstock. High end squiers are really good for the money, I played one yesterday and it was very good quality for the price tag. But don't take my word for it, if you can try them both out, then you might feel better playing the MiM than the squier.

  • @MrJacksGuitar I had a squier tele and It wasnt that bad. Of course it is not like a real fender. Still, i'de rather earn some extra money and buy a proper american tele. Thanks for the explanation!

  • @MrJacksGuitar I mean I'd rather wait to buy a proper american tele than buy today a mexican one!

  • @pedroo255 Ahh fair enough, good luck saving up!

  • @pedroo255 these days even squiers from the VM or CV series are comparing to the USA fenders. thats why they are bringing those guitars into the fender name this is starting with modern player and they will make squier have the bad guitars once again. so basically the best squiers with a fender headstock for 50 pounds more

  • i like the tele

  • er if it is made in US?

  • does Mexico have any effect on sound? I mean wouldn't strat sound much bett

  • I need a pretty versatile guitar. Which one would you recommend?

  • @iBankai145 They both are versatile. The best thing you can do imo, is going to a guitar shop and try them. You'll see how they sound, and comfy you feel with either one. That's what I did.

  • hey i perfer the fender tele cuz it has the smooth blue style with the deep wide notes for the perfect texas style sound and cuz i own a u.s.a fender tele.

  • tele wins, but just by a bit, throw some vintage pups in that strat, and youll have an excellent guitar!

  • Tele all the way

  • How can you compare when one is American mad and one is Mexican made?

  • @dwillkeithurban Many strats are made in mexico, with excellent quality (sometimes even better than the american made)

  • Nice playing

    Tele has that edge

Strat tones seem (to me) more rounded and bell like

Strats do more and are comfortable to play for longer periods of time

Stairway to Heaven was cut on a Tele

Get both and a Gibson too, a marshall, fender, boogie...

  • @ILIAD9 maybe Stairway was recorded on a tele in the studio (not sure), but it was played live on a Gibson double neck, and Jimmy Page is mostly a Gibson guy. He does have a tele, though, so I'm not doubting that he used it in the studio for this song

  • i actually think the start sounds better when playing ryhtem but on t he solo i like the tele better :)

  • and the winner is .

    TELECASTER^^

  • Its the pickups that make the change I believe. I mean that Tele sounds better but its because you dont have good pickups on the Strat!

  • Tele wins.

  • Tele has a meatier sound, more visceral!

  • I prefer tele too

  • Love them both! Nice playing. Thumbs up!

    peace.....

  • strat

  • strat all the way

  • Tele all the way.

  • Telecaster... I'm a Les Paul man myself... and I do like Strat's too... but listening to both... I like the sound of the Telecaster.

  • TELE!!!!

  • Strats have a bit more bite to them, both sound pretty sweet. You're amp sounds really good for a peavey too. Not saying they're bad, but I have a peavey classic 50 and a fender hotrod deville 410, same idea amps; but the fender is way better sounding. Love that tele's tone!

  • they're both sexy as hell

  • telecaster FTW

  • telecater!!!!

  • i thought he was lying down

  • I prefer Strat.

  • Мне нравится больше strat

  • Excellent video. Fender Tele sounds better than the Strats! Anyway great guitarist...

  • I have the total opposite setup that you have (Mex Tele and Amer. Strat). You have a great technique, BTW, which helps to focus on the guitar's natural sound itself. I think in this demo, that the Tele sounds better, even though we know Little Wing was made on a Strat, the Tele just has a better sound to my ears. Pickups make a big difference in the sound of any guitar, in my opinion.

  • Where did you get the backing track for Little Wing?

  • I don´t know ..........both :D

  • I will definitely own a Tele one day, but damn the strat sounds so good.

  • I have two teles, I hate strats, this video is making me want one, bad.

  • @birdmankustomz666

    really \????

then you most be dea cause the strat sounds shite compared to the tele

  • @quickmantan I'm not gonna get rid of a tele, lol

  • @birdmankustomz666

well you can give me one, and buy yourself a strat cuase you dont need two tele's you can only watch one at a time ha

  • woo your soo good

  • I started on a tele copy and owned real strats after that.

Then I got a tele deluxe and modified the pickguard to suit 3 pickups with a 5 way selector and it sounded like a strat without the tremolo!

  • The telecaster I love, the strat is not bad either...you ought to know that I'm bias though, I've made alot of country music with my vintage tele / bigsby equiped and have some serious love for that instrument. When my wife started playing guitar she ended up getting a stratocaster, so different strokes I guess. Keep playing, enjoyed the comparo.

  • The song was made with a strat...so it sounds more fitting. But I like the Telecaster :D

  • GREAT JOB !!!!! I WAS ALWAYS A STRAT MAN ....BUT, I LIKE THE TELE ON THIS ONE THIS TIME...PEACE OUT BROTHER

  • I like stratocaster.

  • Telecaster sounds sweet ...

  • That sounds like Little Wing. Wonderful!

  • hi, whats the song? clapton i guess?

  • you could have done this sooo much better. run the song through once. and cut between the two. You still can just edit it. It would give a more definite comparison.

  • I like telecasters, but I prefer strats

  • Nice playing! I love Fender, and the Tele definately sound's nice. Still, I'm gonna have to go with the Strat. Nothing rocks like a Strat. Nothing.

  • wow, i love your twist to little wing on the telecaster!

  • seems like the telecaster is more bassy

  • Fender kicks ass regardless

  • Thanks a lot! Most guitar comparisons have way too much talking and different playing to tell the difference - very educational and helpful to compare the same song side by side. I think I prefer the Strat for more variation in tone - just my 2.

  • I'm going with the Tele...

  • Woow, the timing on the first note was bad.. Ouch.. I'm out of here..

  • very smooth.

  • TELECASTER FTWFTWFTW!even tho i play a lp

  • Teles best for this piece. Nice one guys

  • Telecaster solo-1:40

    Strato solo-4:03

  • tele wins everytime

  • Well, people don't know that a cheap squier stratocaster with Texas pickups sound like a Stevie Ray Stratocaster Deluxe Amazing Awesome 3.0 Replica Clapton Albert King BB lol.

  • The MexicaN StratocasteR sounds much better.

I made research, those guitars are made with the same wood from Canada, just like the AmericaN ones, they are the same, MexicanS are cheaper.

    Nice video!

  • WOW. Excellent video... I like both Teles and Strats, but in this video, definitely the Tele sounds better.

  • next time tune your guitars fool

  • Nice tone you got from those guitars, that was a smooth and great playing! Anyways, I like the Telecaster more than the Strat.

  • Tele = Smooth kissing

    Strato = Makin' hard love

  • wouldnt an america tele vs american strat be a better comparison?

  • tele are best

  • telecaster is best

  • Thanks bro!

  • Hey jacob, please, tellme the name of this song, i like so much, but i don´t now the name, do you have the tabs? i say hello from colombia!

  • @hormantilla Hi! That's Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix. You'll find tabs on google with no problem :) Bye!

  • @hormantilla

Dude, where is Brazil located? On Mars? You dont know Little Wing? Jimi Hendrix?

Well, in a way you are VERY lucky. You have some big treats in store for you, hearing stuff for the first time.

    Enjoy.

  • I like the Telecaster the best. It has a softer sound. The Stratocaster is an awesome guitar, but it has a sharper sound. And i don't really like that..

  • @tonyxxx84 the strat is lake placid blue, right? what do you think of the color? (i personally love it but i dont know if ill like in in person) is it really that lightly colored or is it just the lighting?

  • @rokkerdude8 No :) It's blue agave color. People always compliment this colour but it's kinda "candy" :)

  • @DaNorthernLight I'm exactly opposite! lol...i think the tele's are sexy. That twangyness can be taken out some by pups etc...but i do agree with you that the strat sounds more rich.

  • The strat had a richer tone, but he tele sounded better i every other way

  • I prefer Tele sound.

  • @fladieci me too

  • Comment removed

  • cual de las 2 me recomendarias?

  • @tonyxxx84 amplificador Peavey Classic 30 es una columna es la Mesa Boogie 412

  • OH YEAH HENDRIX BABY! LITTLE WING!

  • I prefer the Strat, i have a few myself. After watching quite a few video's of Tele's, i think i need one to balance the collection. Which one though?

  • @MITCHWILD if u like strats and want to add a tele to ur collection, u could get the nashville tele w/ 3 pups. they are more close to the strat. or go as vintage as u can afford to really get the classic tele tone.

  • @me86680 I want a traditional Tele, so i would be looking for a Mexican Classic 50's or 60's, or maybe go for the 52 reissue, that's the one i really want.

  • TELE IS RIPE SOUND

  • i love the sound of strat's...

  • WTF! I was thinkin about buy me a tele, but after this, man, it changed my life LMAO, here in my city there's no tele on the shops, I would orderone on a site, but tele's tone is like a "fenderian LP", and I have one LP, strat sounded unique to me, I don't know why, simply more soulful bluesy tone, and I love it, gives a different soul to rock n roll :D

    Thank you a lot!

  • so the telecaster guitar is made to play the blues right???

  • This is a song for a Strat, a bit bias on the Tele but still I liked it.

  • strat ftw

  • la stratocaster se lleva a la telecaster pero con todo

  • i must say i do like the Tele better :)
