Thanks for the FYI on how to reply to a message. I'm new to all of this. The step down regulator made all the difference in my project. It made the SSG run non stop day and night with power left over to play with using only that small solar panel for 7hrs a day. I hope that it works for you. It is good that you got the larger one. My little Bedini runs on only about 2 to 3volts at 20 to 30 milliamps.
The 10W Step down adjustable switching regulator is made by Dimension Engineering based in Akron Ohio. The product model code is DE-SWADJ. It works great and doesn't steal energy the way a linear regulator does. They have a good description on their web site on how it works. I ordered it online and it came in 3 days.
