I dunno how to feel about this game. It looks awesome and I'm down with the game play, but I also don't like things that detract from the canon story. I'll just have to keep reminding myself it's non-canon, because this does look like it's gonna be a blast.
@sheodagana It doesn't necessarily retract from the canon story. It's just what happens "behind the scenes" more or less. I'm glad to see Nemesis is in this game though.
@Logan912 do some research, this game is non canon and isn't about what happened behind the scenes of 2 & 3 yes it does take that approach but the events in the game are non canon to the series since it is possible that major characters of th series be killed by the Umbrella team

They've given Nemesis back his more intimidating way of saying "S.T.A.R.S.!" The Umbrella Chronicles version just didn't sound right. I'm glad he has the RE:3 version back.
RE6 will definitely be an eye opener.I can see some classic re cast being killed off.If what they say is true about Alex Wesker,it's going to be hell from here on.

We don't know what became of his body except for the fact that the virus was given to a South American Drug Lord to use on his familay members which leads to the events of RE The Darkside Chronicles.
@TheKrazeeboy what happens is absolutly nothing, yes the death of Leon & Cliar would forever change the course of the Resident Evil history but it won't because Operation raccoon City will never follow any of it up. So if Leon & Clair dies it just means that they are dead in that game alone but even then who in hell at capcom green lighted the idea to kill two major characters of the series especially one who redifned the genre and was one of the most inovative games ever in the past decade

The concept of a squad based game set in the Biohazard / Resident Evil setting is one I've wanted to see done ever since I played Outbreak. Unfortunately this is the worst way to go about it. Not because of the gameplay, but because of the character designs. How on Earth is Capcom explaining all of this new technology that didn't exist in the games prior to this, or this plot that was never touched upon? Seriously! They lost me when they introduced the character with the cloaking device.
@AngelOfIron well the game in all technicality never happened so im surprised they didn't add friggen aliens!!!!! lolz but this game is mostly fan service in my opinion and im excited none the less :)

This reminds me of what Square-Enix did in Final Fantasy 7: Dirge of the Cerberus, by adding in an army of Tron wannabes who were never mentioned in the original story, and looked so awkward in game. I really wish Capcom did an massive multi-player online survival horror game were it allowed players to create a character and try to survive the zombie, infested Raccon City.

As a oldschool resi-fan I disapprove this type of gameplay, but the presentation is awesome. And besides Blur studio doing the CGI, thats a big plus hellz yeyz.
Being that Im a long time Resident evil fan, I kinda have mixed feelings about this game. I really cant wait to get my hands on this game, but I also hope that this type of gameplay style doesnt become the future of RE. Though I doubt there going to do it, I really hope that in a future installment they bring back the elements of horror that made this game a survival horror in the first place.
@Colbio Hey don't get me wrong I LOVED Resident Evil 4, its probably my third favorite of the Resident Evil games, the first being Resident Evil 2 and the 2nd being Outbreak, but Resident Evil 5, even though I play versus on it like just about everyday, is in my opinion not as good as the other Resident Evils. Not saying that it isn't a good game, I just don't think it fits in really with the other Resident Evil's to much.

So they send the Wolfpack for destroy everything that they could. It was the first thing that Umbrella could do to avoid that someone could harm the corporation.

lol, at the beggining where those 3 ubcs get eating by zombies could have survived if they didnt panic. since each of them had guns, if they had just shot 1 bullet at the head per zombie they would have easily survived, just back into the corner shoot them 1 at a time but ohh well.
@JadeReignhart Just one person, those guys are from Delta team, thats just the uniforms or look that USS operatives have, just like UBCS, Carlos, Nicholai, and so on have militian uniforms. This team was dispatched on Sept. 27th. to wipe out any evidence of Umb. involvement and rendevous with Hunk, which surprisingly Vector is Hunk's apprentice.
@blades34AK thanx for the replies. I've been a fan of resident evil for 9 years and I still don't know much about HUNK. all I know he did some training or something. I don't think they even showed his face. Is he even involved with Wesker or Ada? I never knew. I don't think Capcom focused on HUNK's storyline on the previous game(well the Umbrella Chronicles). After Wesker's death focus is on him. I guess we'll see in Revelations.^_^
@JadeReignhart, I doubt he is involved with Wesker or Ada. As I know, Wesker hated HUNK.. And since Ada worked for Wesker in RE. I doubt she knows much about him, probably heard about him and so on.

@dandelbert09 Yes its him, he doesn't say anything much in RE2 on the minigame 4th Survivor, but in Umbrella Chronicles with the unlockable stage of the same name, when reach near the end, he'll recieve a backup request from Goblin 6, another USS soldier. He ignores her cries for help after hearing her blood curdling scream over the radio he starts stating "This is war, survival is your responsibility."
@george2p whats sick about hunk is this......it was never clear that he was bad or a hero....he never worries 2 much for his team just about his mission which is why he lives...so its leaning towards bad, but then again hes never done anything negative to the protagonists, so u can say hes not bad.....capcom built the mystery around him perfectly
It makes sense for HUNK to be Alex Wesker because Spencer stated that he was the most loyal umbrella operative and HUNK is the best. He also has appeared as a side character in numerous games.

Exactly!, and the only BOW they related to Progenitor in RE5 was the Licker Beta, nothing more. The first trailer from 5 that capcom released back in 2006 showed what seemed to be T or Progenitor infected enemies wandering through Kijuju, and then they started to run "Crimson head like" to kill Chris. Now that trailer was promising, after that they made a 2nd build removing the inicial enemies and inserting las plagas again, but at least that build was more violent then the 5 that we all know.
It was a combination of resident evil wikia and Relyonhorror info but the majority is basically speculation for the most part but once you step back and look at all the pieces of past present and future games it all makes sense. Revelations and ORC are meant to be prequels that led up to the events where Alex Wesker becomes the primary antagonist. Since Albert Wesker died they are using this as a smooth transition towards a new RE era
It all makes sense now. I wondered why they brought the USS delta into the series but it turns out that they must probably be Veltro, the terrorist organization from RE Revelations. After umbrella collapsed they joined HUNK (Alex Wesker) to continue Spencers dream since Alex was the most loyal. That's what they must be planning to do by unleashing the T-Abyss Virus. It is said to be the superior version of Uroburos bdcause it actually accomplishs it's goal. It is a combined version of Uro

I really cant wait to get my hands on this game, but I also hope that this type of gameplay style doesnt become the future of RE. Though I doubt there going to do it, I really hope that in a future installment they bring back the elements of horror that made this game a survival horror in the first place.

@Colbio Hey don't get me wrong I LOVED Resident Evil 4, its probably my third favorite of the Resident Evil games, the first being Resident Evil 2 and the 2nd being Outbreak, but Resident Evil 5, even though I play versus on it like just about everyday, is in my opinion not as good as the other Resident Evils. Not saying that it isn't a good game, I just don't think it fits in really with the other Resident Evil's to much.

@ddresidentevil2 They matter. If the survivors get out of the town, they become witness of everything, and no one out of the town knew what was really happening there. So they send the Wolfpack for destroy everything that they could. It was the first thing that Umbrella could do to avoid that someone could harm the corporation.
It’s extreme important that no one living enough to tell anything about what they saw there.

lol, at the beggining where those 3 ubcs get eating by zombies could have survived if they didnt panic. since each of them had guns, if they had just shot 1 bullet at the head per zombie they would have easily survived, just back into the corner shoot them 1 at a time but ohh well.

@JadeReignhart Just one person, those guys are from Delta team, thats just the uniforms or look that USS operatives have, just like UBCS, Carlos, Nicholai, and so on have militian uniforms. This team was dispatched on Sept. 27th. to wipe out any evidence of Umb. involvement and rendevous with Hunk, which surprisingly Vector is Hunk's apprentice.

@blades34AK thanx for the replies. I've been a fan of resident evil for 9 years and I still don't know much about HUNK. all I know he did some training or something. I don't think they even showed his face. Is he even involved with Wesker or Ada? I never knew. I don't think Capcom focused on HUNK's storyline on the previous game(well the Umbrella Chronicles). After Wesker's death focus is on him. I guess we'll see in Revelations.^_^

@JadeReignhart, I doubt he is involved with Wesker or Ada. As I know, Wesker hated HUNK.. And since Ada worked for Wesker in RE. I doubt she knows much about him, probably heard about him and so on.

@dandelbert09 Yes its him, he doesn't say anything much in RE2 on the minigame 4th Survivor, but in Umbrella Chronicles with the unlockable stage of the same name, when reach near the end, he'll recieve a backup request from Goblin 6, another USS soldier. He ignores her cries for help after hearing her blood curdling scream over the radio he starts stating "This is war, survival is your responsibility."

@george2p whats sick about hunk is this......it was never clear that he was bad or a hero....he never worries 2 much for his team just about his mission which is why he lives...so its leaning towards bad, but then again hes never done anything negative to the protagonists, so u can say hes not bad.....capcom built the mystery around him perfectly

It makes sense for HUNK to be Alex Wesker because Spencer stated that he was the most loyal umbrella operative and HUNK is the best. He also has appeared as a side character in numerous games.

Exactly!, and the only BOW they related to Progenitor in RE5 was the Licker Beta, nothing more. The first trailer from 5 that capcom released back in 2006 showed what seemed to be T or Progenitor infected enemies wandering through Kijuju, and then they started to run "Crimson head like" to kill Chris. Now that trailer was promising, after that they made a 2nd build removing the inicial enemies and inserting las plagas again, but at least that build was more violent then the 5 that we all know.

It was a combination of resident evil wikia and Relyonhorror info but the majority is basically speculation for the most part but once you step back and look at all the pieces of past present and future games it all makes sense. Revelations and ORC are meant to be prequels that led up to the events where Alex Wesker becomes the primary antagonist. Since Albert Wesker died they are using this as a smooth transition towards a new RE era

It all makes sense now. I wondered why they brought the USS delta into the series but it turns out that they must probably be Veltro, the terrorist organization from RE Revelations. After umbrella collapsed they joined HUNK (Alex Wesker) to continue Spencers dream since Alex was the most loyal. That's what they must be planning to do by unleashing the T-Abyss Virus. It is said to be the superior version of Uroburos bdcause it actually accomplishs it's goal. It is a combined version of Uro
