@BiguyonR6 No, it can't be 299 km on 5-th gear, 5-th gear's maximal speed is 290, i tryed on mine yamaha r1 2008

@nodarchik30 But Clearly in this vid he is in 5th gear when it hits 299. Then shifts up to 6th and the rpm keep climbing up, so he was going close to 305kph

yeah i think the factory top speed is 325km/h or so, it does 300+ in 5th, but the speedo doesn't indicate over 299 because of a law in japan :)

yeah, i checked a couple of days ago, 130km/h in 6th is at 5500rpm, so at 14200 it would be 335km/h in theory, on the speedo that is not taking the increased air resistance into account :)

Awsome vid but no need for sixth gear as both times he hit 299 and changed up the bike would not go any faster,the second time u can c revs increasing but not speed.Great vid though.

Yes the bike would go faster, its not really doing 299kph the speedo on all bikes is off. The speedo doesnt stop the bike from going faster...
