You actually remind me of Einstein, but not because of your look, but because you are such a likeable person! And from good sources I know Einstein was a lovely person, too.
Technology does have its place: this most wonderful, self-effacing and articulate professor is spreading goodwill for science through his videos. Only good can come of this.
I'm going to guess that Einstein's hair had a lot to do with Aspergers; simply that his mind was so focused on something important like physics that everything else fades away. I have Aspergers so I tend to do that whenever I am thinking of something fun (for me it is Computer Science) and it seems even things like sleep/food/water are simply no longer a part of my mind when I am in that "Aspie Zone". Personally, I would be frustrated to no end if I thought hair/looks were so important.
two people seem to be wearing a toupee. I cannot bring myself to not like Martyn Poliakoff. I think a random drive is in order, I have to meet this man.
My father is a doctor, when he comes home from the chemistry laboratory he would wash his white laboratory coat in bleach--all by itself, because the chemical residue might ruin the other clothes; functionality is the image of science, and it is my entire memory of my father, a tie and white laboratory coat.
That is the scientist image, as we see a focus on functionality: That is what the artists say, unkempt hair or simple kept hair, functional cloths such as laboratory coats, cargo pants, lack of jewelry because of environmental hazards (I stopped wearing rings and necklaces when I started working around 12,000-volt power supplies with a floating ground), special shoes (yup I got those); when you meet people who are social conscious is when we get the hair styling, jewelry, and designer clothing.
omg... i would really like him to be my chemistry teacher. I hate chemistry tbh... but i think with him as my teacher, chemistry wouldnt be stale and boring.
@eatmorchikin123 So what you're saying is that he is consciously playing the part of the stereotypical scientist, and what he would really like to do is something else entirely, and that makes him a "turd". Do you have proof of this?
@eatmorchikin123 Il n'est pas en mauvaise foi. Et vous êtes la personne qui est une merde. Vous ne comprenez pas ce que j'ai dit? Allez demander à Sartre.

I think Einstein looked like he did because when he became so deeply involved in study things like a haircut were the LEAST of his worries!
