This most definitely sounds like the original Kool and Gang band playin-same bass, guitar, horns, even similar licks, as someone pointed out elsewhere.
This was a must-have at the philly high school dances back in '75. As Kool & the Gang got national and world exposure, it was only natural for Kool to try and put his younger brother on.
This song is and was very under rated. The whole album was under rated I believe because it did not get enough promotion. One of my all time favorites.
I think this was on par with "Keep On Bumpin" Like you I enjoyed Kool And The Gang's "Wils and Peaceful" but "Light Of Worlds" is my favorite Kool& The Gang/Kay-Gees album.Man this is funky !! Thanks for posting.
