  • Never had a turnip greens- but I'm getting hungry just listen to all the fixings

  • your mom did a whole lot of cookin!!

  • Hi Shelly. Yea, she did lots of baking and cooking! Thanks for watching. -Jim

  • P.S. My mom used to make turnip greens, ever have Okra? I've got a funny story about Okra, my sisternlaw mistakenly asked her butcher for Okra from a list that my brother gave her to go and buy at the store, and she thought it was a whale. The butcher told her to go to the produce isle, nonetheless she's NOT from the south!

  • Lori that's a great story! I love fried okra but I don't want any part of boiled or picked okra. LOL

  • How sweet, Love your Mom, makes me miss mine. :( Glad you had a nice Turkeyday!

  • Hi Lori. Thanks for that! It was nice seeing the family. -Jim

  • Well, here I am; better late than never, Jim! It sounds as though you were off to have a very good Thanksgiving! MotherCountry looks wonderful. I LOVE all those pies you mentioned.
