  • Well, the truth is if the industry wasn't so 'racist' to begin with, it wouldn't have to take white artists to cover black artists in order for them to be discovered. That's unfortunate because black artists had to struggle and get less money, while white artists received all the fame, glory and the money.

  • Sure could shake up a joint,

  • I fucking love big mama.

  • proper!

  • This is true blues Elvis stole alot of her music but the way she died was so sad but Big Mama is a true female artist of all times 300 pound woman and she made a hit of this Wow you got to love a BBW who is pround of herself and this songs proves it

  • This woman is da bomb. I wish she never would've dun drugs and/or drank cuz I would've wanted 2 go 2 every1 of her songs! She's awsum!

  • she makes such good music that even elvis had to copy her

  • @polliyoo, Elvis grew up hearing blues, country, early rock n' roll...he knew he was borrowing from tha likes of Mama Thornton,Chuckberry etc...she appreciated Elvis...as BB king said "without Elvis, most white kids would never have been introduced to black music, let alone,go out and buy our records"...Even Elvis's moves n' shakes were attributed to the 'Harlem Queens' n' the chorus girls...He sang like a black man with the moves of a black woman!

  • @boyifygirlifyme thats true.............I would never have known about chuck berry (when I was a kid) till the Beatles covered "Roll Over Beethoven". I looked at the record and was shocked that Lennon &McCartney did not write it. I then proceeded to find out about this mysterious chuck berry and why his name was on Beatles Records. So it's true....if white artists did not cover these songs white kids would never have discovered the treasure trove of black music
