@HTeast I got in because I was at the expo where it was released and they all gave us beta keys, I'm not sure if they are inviting people to the perma beta anymore, I think there isnt a way unless you know someone at bioware

Free space combat is what I was looking for, like being able to navigate around the whole planet and even attack other players and destroy their ships. It would be hilarious to see their little escape pods falling to the planet as after you kill them.

Space combat looks like it's fun to pass the game and get some XP in an alternative fashion. I'm also sure BioWare will expand upon it in the future.

At its core The Old Republic is a ground combat game though, the majority of the movies does also, utlimately, take place on planets and not in space. I'm sure this'll grow into something a little more epic though!

If BioWare didnt have enough time during all thsoe yeras they have been developing TOR, they could do the same thing Sony Entertainment did with SWG. They could release an expansion pack which would focus on space only.

And just in case you don't know, they said there is no open space in ToR just because in films you couldn't see people roaming in the space aimlessly either. Anyways, truth be told, BioWare completely screwed space combat. Its Star Wars mmo at last. You also have to know I am big Star Wars fan. Thats why I am so upset about it.

@Verithiell Space Combat has never been a big part of any Star Wars games, apart from the ones that were about space combat, Im aware there would be no open space, it would be too much for an MMO, They didnt really screw it when its just a minigame, and MMOs should be more focused on PvP, PvE, and in SWTOR, Story.
