They have mercenaries in Iraq as we speak that are making 6 times the amount of $ that I am (I've worked with them). Don't talk down to me when you do not know shit about what is going on over here. What was the inflation from 1787 until 1913?...approximately 4%...deflation.

The Dollar gained value over the 100+ year period.

@helltrackrider it's really not accurate to say that the dollar gained value over a 100 year period. It fluctuated widely in a semi-predictable manner over a 100+ year period and just happened to be a little bit more valuable at the end of that period than it was at the beginning. I would not argue that the dollar as it was from 1787 until 1913 couldn't of been greatly improved, just that the Federal Reserve wasn't that improvement.

The relevance is that during the 100+ year span....the Dollar lost value 3 times due to the 1st Central Bank, 2nd Central Bank and during the Civil War when fiat money was printed...

Other than those instances, any 1-2% flucctuations were based on market factors not a central entity doing what it sees necessary; but on millions and billions of transactions saying what is necessary for value and interest rates.

End the Fed...End the majority of our problems.

Property tax is the tax that will turn a short recession into a long depression and it is the tax that always requires legal tender laws, and forces people who....
