I've watched this video a few times. It actually was one of the first ones I saw of a 149 and got me interested in buying one. Where did you buy your paint cans? The colors look really good. The white on yours seems brighter and sharper than the original color and I like it better. I love my 149 and I'll be spending lots of time on it this summer, putting it to work and repainting most of it. Thanks for sharing! Nice job.
@Moondog9322 Well im Glad i put you in the right direction for a Tractor! :) The color Rustoleum SunBurst Yellow was my spray cans i used and rustoleum Gloss white for the white, at the time it needed paint bad and i didnt have much time or money, so i tried to make is look decent, i did take it apart and remove the tranny and replace the gasket between the pump and trans, Etc, Thank you for the kind words!
@gcbailey34 Thanks Bailey, was a freebie, took me a lil while to paint it, i didnt do as good as some people on Youtube, but i hated seeing it all rust and chipped to hell,. i have a 122 i think i may spend a lil more time in it, and dso it up all nice, at least from what i can do. lol....
ive got a 1972 149 with a bored over 12 horse and its a beast at pulling, ive pulled a 16 foot lowboy loaded with wood in the front and 4 four wheelers in the back....it didnt even know it was pulling anything. i have sheared that roll pin on the driveshaft several times. it squeels the tires like nothing and ive had it on a steep ditch mowing...you cant flip it lol
@mrpowerstroke4life you have to admit they were a really good lil tractor, yeah the roll pins suck i dont like them, i like the newer drivehsaft setups 1990 model year stuff, has 4 ball bearings and 4 bolts, its a lil bulky but never worry too much about it, ive almost flipped mine backwards on a hill, because it was spinning slighty and then grabbed real good, popping up the front end, otherwise they are pretty damn stable! :)
@IHallischlamers before i painted it up, i did remove the steering wheel, believe it or not, you just gotta spray it down with really good penetrating oil, and let sit, i was able to put a puller on mine and added a lil bit of heat on it shielding the steering wheel with a sheet of fiberglass, exposing just the steering shaft and added a lil heat to allow the oil to penetrate the threads a bit better, and after a few days i was able to pop it off, afterwards i put anti seize on the threads.
I had that same problem with my 125 Hydro. You might need a new driveshaft. I will after my current "pin" breaks. I jammed a bolt in there and thats working but afterwards the hole in the shaft may be wallowed out so much that its not good enough to use
way ahead of yas, i ended cutting a pieve of bar stock steel, and re welding the trans coupler, drilled the holes, but i use bolts, pain in the ass but the Spring rolled pin is much stronger when new, but i find bolts are plenty and easy to replaces, no different then shear pins on a square baler, if it break ya just gotta stop and replace it : D

Nice tractor. I'm picking up a '71 149 tomorrow. It's in perfect working order so I can use it during the resto. I can't wait to dig into it.
